'Super Rugby' 2021

@kiwiwomble Rugbypass are a strange bunch with their ridiculous player ratings system. I don't trust anything they write about players' performances, least of all any form of ranking.
-
@stargazer ...apart from when they say the Highlanders are good...i agree

This team of the week is a bit better. It still has McLeod at 12 though
Thats the problem when there's only 4 people playing a position a week. It's easy for none of them to be particularly good. I would have leaned towards Plummer by default because the other guys negatives were higher

@nzzp Yes, it has changed. I think this is the new rugby programme on Sky (in addition to games):
Sunday, 8.30pm: Rugby Nation
Monday, 8.30pm: Breakdown
Tuesday, 8.30pm: Aotearoa Rugby Pod
Tuesday, 10.00pm: Rugby Heaven Live (about Rugby AU)
Wednesday, 8.30pm: Playmakers (Justin Marshall with a special guest, this week Robbie Deans)
Wednesday, 9.00pm: Rugby Stories Throwback (an old game discussed in the programme Playmakers, this week Crusaders v Waratahs 2002) -

I don't think I'll ever take anything rugbypass has to offer seriously after reading the players to watch and team of the week stories.
You've just come to this conclusion now? Did you never come across their Super rugby rankings?

Are they even local writers? I won't use "journalist".
I only read the occasional RugbyPass article posted here, but I am not familiar with the majority of the names.

@nepia This is the first I've come across them.
Really? They've been frequently posted on here.
Haven't noticed any of their dross previously.

jeez, i know we didn't look great last week but it was the bloody crusaders so a little surprised to see where deemed so much worse than the chiefs and canes

Grand Final Winner-Super Rugby Aotearoa 2021
Crusaders
2.00Blues
3.00Chiefs
9.00Hurricanes
9.50Highlanders
14.00Those odds are not in the slightest bit realistic. The TAB bookmakers could easily quote the Hurricanes at 950000.00 and would not lose any sleep even if a million dollar bet came in for the Hurricanes.

Same for Chiefs or landers, Crusaders or maybe blues

Three games into SRA and this looks to me like the pecking order.
-
Crusaders (Favourites for the title once again)
-
= Blues/Highlanders (The battle to make the final, the Blues could even challenge for the title if their gun players get going)
-
Daylight
-
Daylight's siblings
-
Daylight's cousins
-
Daylights's friends
-
Daylight's acquaintances
-
People Daylight once met
-
People Daylight has heard of but never met.
-
= A tight battle between the Chiefs and Hurricanes to avoid last place.
