im watching it now, first conversation with owen he just says he wonders if Obiwan is related to old ben kenobi, doesn't seem to know anything about him other than he exists
Which ties in with what Kenobi agreed to do. Stay away
oh, i agree, was just saying im not sure how much there is to investigate re Luke thinking highly of Obi Wan...because i dont think he did before meeting him

But when he is knocked out after looking for R2 he comes to and says Ben Kenobi, I’m glad to see you!

He obviously knows who he is. But the earlier interaction with Owen suggests he doesn't know him well

@ACT-Crusader yeah, theres a difference between knowing he exists, recognizing him from town as the old hermit and knowing much/anything about him...he's also glad to see him because he was going to take R2 to him to see if he knew who "Obi Wan" was
after listening to the bit from luke triggering the leia projection and first talking to Obi-Wan...it all make sense with how theyve currently left it for me

@Kiwiwomble there’s little tidbits early on and then later on when Luke and Solo are rescuing Leia. Solo asks Luke where he found that old hermit and Luke talks about Ben being a great man etc
My recollection was that Luke wondered, but did not know Ben and Obi Wan were the same man
No he didn’t. He hadn’t heard the name Obi Wan until R2 and CP3-O rocked up with Leia's message.
It’s nice when someone else does the video work 😉
You are correct of course. But I was in my car on my phone and I didn't think I needed to explain more to someone as knowledgeable on the subject The convo was moving too fast for me to tap

What a huge faux pas. The prequels were absolutely memorable classics 😉

@canefan of the forgettable things about the prequels...padme isn't one of them
The prequels fucken rock. The only forgettable parts were talks of trade disputes.

Having rewatched them recently I almost hate them (just for the shits and gigs, I think my thoughts on them are well known on here). If I was a man-baby I would say they ruined Star Wars for me ... but I'm not, I still love the OG Trilogy and a bunch of the new stuff. In 10 years time I'll probably rewatch them again to see if I feel the same way and get into a shitfight about it on the Fern.

Bloody hell, your “Star Wars prequel” Bat senses are as good as your “Shield Snorters” Bat senses ! Amazing turnaround time !
The Last Jedi is the worst Star Wars movie. By far.

Hee hee, it's not even bottom four for me. (3 prequels and JJ's successful attempt at emulating the prequels for Rise).
