“For Joe Biden, the calls are now coming from inside the house. … Obama political guru David Axelrod said the administration looks “out of control.””
When you’ve lost Debra Messing…

Translation: Everyone hates him, but he makes us so much money, gosh-darrnit, we’ll just gave to do the whole thing again, give him a shitload of freebies and promotional assistance and try a little harder this time. #Charity
It’s likely a twitter effect, where everything the candidate posts gets amplified by paid media. I suspect DeSantis is going to get plenty of free promotion this cycle for the same reason, he and his COS use the platform extensively.

It would be interesting to see those free media stats if you took out Trumps own tweets

This mornings’ headlines. Coincidence? Almost starting to feel a little coordinated.

Oh, and he doesn’t work weekends.

Dem primary voters under age 30.
Even accounting for the margin of error, I detect a distinct lack of enthusiasm.
(The Dems pay large money for internal polling, so they and their biggest donors almost certainly have access to this same information. What we’re now seeing is a game within a game, where potential replacements, knowing Joe and Kamala can’t win, are jockeying for position, and MSM pretending it isn’t happening right under our noses. CA Gov Gavin Newsom has all but declared his candidacy, every-other-day cutting WWE-style promos on FL Gov Ron DeSantis, whom Dems now view as their biggest threat.)

Biden continues to hit it out of the park.

If Newsom runs, the Dems are toast. There's a reason why there is net emigration from CA, and Newsom and his policies are part of that.

Who’s going to save them? Beto? Hillary? Alysa Milano? Pocahontas?
He’s lousy, but I don’t see where he suffers any worse than the party’s other flagbearers, he’s operating in a world where you take a Big Swing because the punters have fuckall faith in the field.

Good point. The cupboard is very bare on both sides, but especially on the Dem side. Maybe AOC or another member of the squad will run. That would be fun
Loyal Dems will vote for him, but I don't think he'll attract the necessary swing voters. And it is these that he will need. If Trump doesn't scupper DeSantis (and if he runs he will destroy anyone in his path), I can see DeSantis winning handsomely. There are enough ppl (I believe) in the US who will side with him purely on the basis that he has stood firm against wokism.

40 year high.Much as I do not admire the bloke, I'm curious to know how he has managed to cause 9.1% inflation.
Edit: Was it the same way that Trump caused a 30% drop in the S&P500 in one month in 2020?

Yes They Can!
While Joe is on his knees begging for petrol at the House of Saud, Gavin is right now, this very minute, at the White House measuring the drapes. Okay last part likely a stretch, but he’s meeting with his girl. Looks pretty cozy.

If you can claim all the successes when they coincide with your term in office, you get all the failures too when they hit

@Catogrande Take his first two measures, killing a domestic oil pipeline, then a 1.9 trillion dollar “stimulus” package, and start from there, it gets reeeeal good.

That hasn't helped.
Sadly, inflation is a result of excessive money printing since 2008 GFC (which the stimulus package was the last bout of). Central bank fuckery. Too much money washing round, too much demand.

I'm not a quick enough typer or thinker but please refer back to my edit of that post.
Sort of. Trump caused the drop because he started his trade spat with China. Biden carries the can for just being good ol' Joe - wrong man, in the wrong place at the wrong time
