NZ cricket highlights. Been marvelling out how poorly put together these videos have been.

Nothing of our Kane reaching 200. Got Mitchell's 50 though, but not his hundred 🙄

Yeah, I just watched that. WTF was the complier thinking?? Williamson double ton and Mitchell ton / declaration are obvious highlights!

Not heard Sumo in a while, and honestly, it wasn't long enough. He's not the voice of cricket. On Kane's wicket ...

"Daryl Mitchell! .... looks on as Kane ....."

I've only seen little of this and the last test but have had to switch it on mute each time he steps into the comms box. Cricket is one of those sports where you just can't have "generalist" commentators. It's too long and there's too much speaking time for them to demonstrate just how little they know about the game.

Perfect example of why I’m not a fan of Sumo just seconds ago. Fleming makes a funny dry humour comment and there is laughing, but then Sumo has to pipe in. Just let the joke alone, no need to add to it.

@Godder You're in Palmy? People have voluntarily gone there? It's not the chess that is a problem.

Missing the cricket too, things go from bad to worse.

MOTM is gonna be tough. Poor old Nicholls won’t even get a look in despite his fine innings.

Kyle MOTM for sure. It's tough taking 20 wickets in a match, without his efforts the game would be meandering to a draw.

@No-Quarter I actually misinterpreted your post! You mean for a team to take 20, didn't you.

Haha yeah, and one player nabbing half of the wickets on his own makes it a damn sight easier!

Not sure if it's voluntary exactly, if someone wants to be national champion, it's Hobson's Choice. I'm one of the arbiters (chess term for umpire), which is how I have computer access during the games, but I didn't really have a choice either as I have to attend at least one major tournament every two years to maintain my arbiter status, which the national championship counts as, and Covid has put the dampener on events... It's in Palmy because there is a good organiser willing to host it, a good venue, and sponsorship is available.

Behind who? Steve Waugh and Ali Cook?

Jawardene and Ponting. The list doesn't include the current test but will be updated after it finishes. Fleming also very high.

New ball due in 13 overs, so even if this pair manage to fight on for another hour, we should get the last 3 wickets pretty quickly with the new ball.

Not much doubt about MOTM now for mine. 6-38 in this innings.

The pitch has done a bit but we had effectively 4 centuries in our one innings over two days. So it was manageable.

Jamieson has completely taken that away from the Pakistan batsmen. Highest score of 93 over two innings (strangely Henry got Ali) but they just couldn't escape Jamieson. He just continued to take out batsmen that were set in both innings without even conceding runs.
