And as I talk him up Rayasi drops it.

Rayasi has been very good mostly. Maybe him and Flanders should start next week.
I can’t understand why they don’t start the canes look so much more threatening with those 2 starting

Flanders just showed why he should be starting. Wake up Holland you dingbat.
The back row was far and away better last week. But even Flanders at 6 would make a much stronger side. The need more dynamic attaching players and Prinsep and Blackwell both fall well short

@chris I don’t think any Canes fan understands why they don’t start. Holland has his favourites despite obvious form.
I love Chris Gibbes but I think he might also be part of the problem selecting 'workers' rather than those with an extra level of ability.

You maybe right I don’t understand selection within the Canes it’s seems it’s pretty obvious to Us

Chris Gibbes was a Magpie and he doesn't even play favourites to get our players in the team.

He may have worn the jersey, but he's no magpie. He's a TAC boy.

Agree. Canes really need to at least look for a new forwards coach as Gibbes likes plodders (or workers) too much. It isn't working and never well. The team will win a few games but will never win the competition.

It’s not zero sum, he can be both. Although he’s a dirty Cane at the moment.

If they considered Blackwell as a 6, it might be OK because then he'd have to compete appropriately, but as a lock it's just de-sizing their pack and they can't stay in games with a backrow and loosies of one lock, 2 sixes (neither that good) and two opensides.
The fact that Flanders was benched is another ridiculous decision, but it won't address the key problem.
