My US boss got me involved in completing brackets nearly 20 years ago (I know there's a few others who fill them out). Always fun - though I only follow the tournament (not the rest of the season) and have had a shocker this year - bloody Fighting Illini!

But, watched the end of the Gonzaga-UCLA semi-final today....

I gather Jalen Suggs is contending to be the No. 1 draft pick and did his hopes no harm in overtime.

I was looking forward to the tournament and then Illinois got upset in the 2nd round so I thought fuck it. 🙂

I have never bothered with the brackets, even when I lived in the US.

Heartbreak for UCLA. They played so good against the best offence in the nation. UCLA have caused upset after upset through the tourney.

I’ve lost a grand final game with a guy heaving one from halfway and it’s even worse than just losing!

It’s a hard pick as Baylor and Gonzaga are two very different teams. Even when behind Gonzaga can go on these runs. Baylor’s defence is staunch as.

The women’s final tomorrow should be a good one with two conference rivals playing off. I like Stanford.

@act-crusader Yeah - Gonzaga offence vs Baylor defence. But, Baylor does both very well, so I'm thinking they might just sneak it. Hard to tell until the game gets underway though.

UCLA has had an incredible tournament - I had Michigan St. beating them in the play-in game, which has been symptomatic of my picks throughout. Gonzaga making the final has been the sole saving grace.

Another exciting game that came down to the last possession. The pressure was getting to both sides in clutch time, but that’s part of what makes these game exciting.

The parent/family reactions are always interesting to watch as well.

Stanford being on the road for most of the season because of Covid adds to the fairy tale win!

And Baylor too good on the night - dominated from start to finish.

Commentators wondering whether UCLA drew the sting out of Gonzaga.

Probably something in that, but Baylor look very tough to beat regardless. Pretty much a complete package.

Gonzaga picked the wrong game to lose for the first time this season.

We did that in 1993 - went 41-1 for the year, losing to Church College in the final. Remarkably similar actually, we were down 13-0 at the start and never recovered.

Next year we went 40-2 but won the ones that mattered 🏆

Mulkey: Winning title at LSU 'what I came to do'

Mulkey: Winning title at LSU 'what I came to do'

Kim Mulkey said money wasn't the primary motivating factor for her move from Baylor to LSU. "I wanted an institution that I could be proud of," she explained. "I wanted resources to hire a staff to make me look good."

Kim Mulkey leaves Baylor after over 20 years and 3 national championships for her home state LSU. Huge move
