    Competitive game until the last 15. Pretty entertaining. Until next year.

    Y’know, if the Canes could get a really good lock and a better scrum, they’d be very very dangerous.

    They look like a team missing a few pieces but have a few youngsters growing into some of the gaps.

    @yeetyaah It will be interesting what kind of squad the Canes will have, next year. Who will stay and who will go? And who will be brought in?

    @taniwharugby good shift overall from Gregory , he took a stinger early in the game on the arm that’s strapped ..I also see his left leg was heavily strapped …considering where he was a year ago when he was being played out of position constantly, for me he is trending in the right direction

    A good fun game to watch. Plenty of encouraging signs for the Hurricanes for the Trans Ta$man comp too.

    As for the Highlanders second half performance, it's hard to believe that they beat the Crusaders not that long ago. Not a lot of depth in the squad it seemed.

    @dice think he put himself out of it when he dropped outside Laumape, for whatever reason not anticipating someone on his outside shoulder

    It was just the lack of effort to chase back. It was similar on an earlier play when Rayasi made a break.

    @donsteppa would have been hard for both of these teams to get up , credit to the canes ..nobody tried harder than Frizzell , along with Flanders they were 2 of the best on the paddock in my opinion ..

    Roigard takes that "extra loosie" thing to a new level. Loved the way he spotted Smith drifting at that scrum and exploited it. Looks a find.

    I'm going to regret saying this but, fuck, that wasn't that great. The defending was laughable. Clear obstruction in the third last try. The last two tries they just walked through. I thought Ao intensity was supposed to be next level.

    NMS "attempt" on Rayasi was appalling.

    Perenara too?...

    We do like those Hurricane halves.

    We've had Mathewson, Weepu, Spice, Beauden, Gopperth and Black at the Blues.

    We'll always have 2015 for NMS warm fuzzies.

    <sigh>
