@yeetyaah It will be interesting what kind of squad the Canes will have, next year. Who will stay and who will go? And who will be brought in?

JB to the Blues along with BB and RTS ... 😛

    Perenara too?...

We do like those Hurricane halves.

We've had Mathewson, Weepu, Spice, Beauden, Gopperth and Black at the Blues.

    and Holwell

How long ago since NMS' last SR game? I think he went well after such a long time, despite his tackling (2 missed tackles from 3 attempts).

Omg Nisbo ..need to do a Monday morning review , that’s about 8 x my my count..

Hohneck threw into a lineout as well. 🤣

The problem is that I'd still rather listen to Nisbo with his numerous misidentification of players than TJ.

@nzzp I forgot about him. I think he only played 6 games for us.

    good player. Very solid.

Gopperth, on the other hand, was a tough tough watch

Fuck it, that pretty much covers it, canes just had too much fire power from range

Injuries really have screwed us this season, two guys having their first game of the season and others probably 2nd or 3rd choice

We looked good for 20-30 minutes but didn’t stick to that game plan, we tried to open things up and that just played into the canes hands

We were one piece away from being a championship team back then. But sadly despite his best efforts Jimmy wasn't it

I'm going to regret saying this but, fuck, that wasn't that great. The defending was laughable. The last two tries they just walked through. I thought Ao intensity was supposed to be next level.

NMS "attempt" on Rayasi was appalling.

We'll always have 2015 for NMS warm fuzzies.

    <sigh>

I rewatched that RWC final a few months ago, goddamn he was good in that 1st half. Just amazing.

Yuuuuuck. About the best thing I can say about that game is kudos to Tony Brown for throwing out a defence akin to when he was playing.

@kiwiwomble Clips from that account are geo-blocked in NZ.

@stargazer apologies, thought that was just the SRA site, also didn’t think highlights were geo blocked

@kiwiwomble Clips from the SANZAAR account weren't geo-blocked in previous years. IIRC, they started doing that post-Covid and only for SRA, not SR AU. I assume it has to do with broadcasting rights, although I always find it ridiculous that they are being so difficult about a highlights clip.

Coles has a point. There should never have been cards involved in this.

Also if palming someone in the face is a yellow card offence now then the Crusaders player that did the same thing a couple of weeks ago should count his lucky stars that the refs are horribly inconsistent in their officiating this year.

@canes4life Elbow to the face followed by open hand shoves in the face seems like yellow cards to me. What pisses me off is Coles acting like a football player whinging to the ref after Hunt shoved back.

@yeetyaah a couple of years ago that would have been a lecture but nothing more. Game has gone soft, just like society in general.

It’s also funny that some teams seem to get away for doing exactly the same shit. I.e Joe Moody

@yeetyaah Yep, Coles pushing Hunt's head into the turf with his elbow was plain dirty*. In some countries you get red for that. And Hunt retaliated. Coles has always had a temper; he won't change his stripes at the end of his career.

Edited to add: Very similar to Laumape's arm to Scott Barrett throat. Also a yellow. So it's consistent.
