    Put your kicking tee down Jordie you lanky tool.

    Don’t think he knows he’s even on air.

    @antipodean said in Waratahs v Hurricanes:

    A consolation try because Rayasi is a spastic who runs himself out of space and then hurls the ball infield to no-one.

    What was with that? He kept doing it, stopping, then flinging the ball away.

    Don’t know what was worse in the end. The defence or the ref just ignoring everything.

    Best game from Savea since the Quarter Final against France in 2015. Hopefully it’s what he needs to get out of the huge hole his form fell into way back then.

    Rayasi also looks slow, even compared to Savea.

    @stargazer only 3 more defenders beaten but 9 more clean breaks. Clear sign their defensive system is fucked sideways.

    @bovidae he looks slow, but if you see him live he actually moves fairly quickly. He’s got a weird running style, it feels like he’s not running his hardest but so think he is. Needs to learn to keep in the field of play.

    Hurricanes tackle stats (tackles made - tackles missed:

    best tacklers:
    Flanders 12 - 0
    Blackwell 13 - 2
    Kirifi 12 - 1
    Fidow 12 - 2

    best back: Proctor 7 - 0

    worst tacklers:
    J Savea 3 - 5
    Rayasi 1-1
    Umaga-Jensen 4 - 3
    Leger 2-1 (showing the weakness of stats: he often didn't even try, so can't be recorded as missing a tackle)

    @duluth ... but made 13, so he's wasn't great, but not terrible either.

    @stargazer no one was excellent tonight. Plenty of work to do. Hopefully Love is okay.

    Should get Perenara back now though.

    @stargazer

    You made a list of the worst Canes tacklers and left off a guy with 5 misses.
    I’m shocked you made such an obvious mistake and left off that Hawkes Bay player

    @duluth I also looked at tackle %, not just the absolute numbers. Who he plays for in NPC had nothing to do with it.

    @stargazer

    I’m starting to think every comment you make on the Hurricanes is coloured by petty provincialism

    A few more stats:

    Fast or not, Rayasi made an impressive 174 metres from 17 runs. No one else came close. Impressive it may be, it also says a lot about the Tahs.

    The next two are Jack Maddocks with 109 metres from 12 runs and Julian Savea with 103 metres from 10 runs.

    Best of the rest was Kirifi with 66 metres from 10 runs.

    Savea made the most clean breaks (5) and shares the top spot for defenders beaten with Rayasi (7).

    Rayasi was also responsible for most conceded turnovers (3).

    Only 3 Hurricanes players won a turnover, that's half the number of the Waratahs.
