I don't think he is not a Donkey, I just think they are right in not jumping the gun and sacking purely because results are shit, still. The problem is bigger than just the coach.

A mate of mine was there, they had an open training session beforehand with a few minutes of opposed training.

Said they looked just as shit and disinterested as they do come game day.

Also good on the little old lady who asked the question at the end.

It's what everyone wanted to ask but was too scared to go up the front of the room and do it in front of the players.

If they're keeping Cappy around to the end of the season because they've lined up Bellamy or Bennett then I wouldn't have an issue because those guys likely could come in pick up the wreckage of an organisation and rebuild it. But if they've lined up Cleary or a Maguire or someone of that level then the club is going to be in tatters by the time they come in.

Anyway, as I said earlier, they tried it the other way at the end of last year when they didn't sack Cappy - it didn't work. It's almost like they banked on Luke and RTS to just make the difference and SJ would always play like he did in last years ANZAC test.

The organisation is in tatters now.

I think what i would like to see happen is the coach go, an interim brought in, and a long-term replacement identified and hired ASAP. I would also fire a couple of very senior players not seen to be pulling their weight (Manu is too old to be an effective firing, he would likely have been cut at the end of the year anyway, and Hurrell was too fringe) as a statement of intent. Play some kids for the year, take the medicine with an eye to building a team long term. And get rid of anyone who has been hurt too often as well. It's time for some effective list management. Anyone who grumbles, or tries to influence the decision gets cut as well.

I wouldn't mind a bit of transparency in the whole process as well, so public expectation can be managed.

Interesting, I'll ask my mate what he reckons as he was there too.

Another point I would make, is that you can see the players signing autographs for the kids on the side. None of them even talks to the kids, it's just heads down sign the poster and move onto the next one.

That's disgraceful I reckon. They should make an effort particularly with young kids. I've seen the Abs at similar signing sessions and difference is remarkable

The newspaper is saying Hurrell could be off to the Titans, and that the Storm may also be interested.

GC but Konrad Hurrell can't play the Warriors in round 17 as part of the deal. Expect to see "Konrad Harold" in the starting 17 for that game.

Another let down by management. The deal should have guaranteed he would start and handed him the captaincy that round.

So if he has been sacked , what is the deal with his contract money wise ?

Are they paying him out ?

Given that the Warriors instigated it they call around the other clubs and see who is willing to offer him the most money. Obviously his stock has fallen so usually no club will be willing to offer the full clip so they will release him to whatever club offers the highest salary that the player is agreeable to playing for. The Warriors would then top up the difference between his contract with the Titans and what he was on at the Warriors.

That's at least been the process in the past. If it was player instigated (i.e. homesickness, hates the club etc etc) then they would just release him with no pay out.
