They basically did to us what we've been doing to everyone else. And Brown Jr didn't have a great game, resorted to one on one instead of trying to drive and pass

I didn't see the first Breakers-Kings game but the Breakers really struggled with the length of the Kings bigs inside tonight. Although they made another 4th Q run they need to hit more threes to win this matchup. The preferential treatment of the Kings by the refs doesn't help.

Game 1 they shot poorly in q1 and dug themselves a hole. They roared back lage but got pipped at the post

@Bovidae sheesh we couldn’t buy a call last night, especially Pardon who probably missed out on three And-1’s.

But Sydney are very good. Cooks on track to win MVP, Soares has excellent footwork and soft touch around the rim, DJ spreads the defence even if he’s having an off night, Walton Jnr came out fired up after a sub-par game last time we met them.

We needed a bit more out of a couple of players, but we were right there after turning up our defence in the 4th quarter.

We are better on the road

@ACT-Crusader Yeah, Brantley was poor, and was forcing up low percentage shots. The Breakers made runs but then went cold for stretches.

I had to laugh when Mulligan said that Cooks had more fouls on him than the Breakers had as a team.

@mariner4life yep. 5 teams have winning records on the road (Kings, Breakers, Taipans, JJs, 36ers). Wildcats are 3-3 and then the other 4 teams (Phoenix, Hawks, United, Bullets) all have losing records on the road.

Only 3 teams have winning records at home, and it’s the top 3 teams on the table - Kings, Breakers and Phoenix.

Corey Webster is cooking. Hits a game winning 3 in his 250th NBL game.

United with a massive choke in the final 30-40 seconds. They were up 7. Shout out to Blanchfield who hit a huge 3 plus the foul. Perfect missed FT and offensive rebound and kick out to Corey.

Now that Gleeson is gone and one of my favourite NBL players (Rillie) is coaching and they have Manek and Webster, I’m less against them, ever so slightly….

I actually enjoy seeing United lose more than seeing Perth lose.

The current Perth coach is also a crazy man. Tore a strip off his team after one posession against the Breakers, and was yelling and threatening the ref a bit later

Yeah many. But he's going to give himself an aneurysm doing it like that. Even Modi has calmed down a lot

Rillie coaches with a bit of fire much like the way he played.

I guess it did the trick in that Breakers game because they pulled finger and then got the choccies. I’m personally not into that style, have played for one that was a bit too fiery for my liking, but most seem to have a happy medium with the odd outrage moment….

Brisbane suck and we should be hosing them, but in typical Taipans fashion we are not.

Baynes is a fucking unit though

@mariner4life the Aussie refs always give the likes of Wagstaff and Norton the benefit of the doubt in charge calls and also allow all sorts of contact by Perth defenders. Been happening for years.

yeah, but it's not normally 25 fucking fouls to 9 halfway through the 4th quarter! they are normally more subtle

Cairns stage an enormous come back, get to within 4, and then bang! the fouls start and the game blows out again

it was fucking shameless. The two coaches challenges were bullshit as well.

The crowd were fucking ropable. i may have had a word or two.
