Wow. Sydney make a big run and we have gone into our shells. We need to stop the Barry ball and get things moving. WMW has barely touched the ball

Know nothing about bucketball except you have failed if you haven't scored from a possession, but it appears the refs are fucking us.

Our defence stalled big time and it had a negative impact on our entire game. Walton coming up huge. We desperately need a bucket now

Why did the breakers refuse to take a 3 there.

    Twice.

    Weird.

Great game though - can't ask for much more in a winner take all game.

Game was over by then. Our offense just froze. Glover sparked them into life and Walton finished it. Fucken fucken fuckit. Bloody proud of the boys, we were minutes from stealing the trophy

We played some dumb ball. But man some of the reffing in that 4th was borderline criminal.

Definitely didn't get any foul calls our way. That stoppage to mop the court when we were about to hit the break was weird

I’m pretty emotional about that game. I’m frustrated that we went away from what worked, we settled for 3s, we played into the refs hands, we got flustered. But I’m feeling pretty happy about what we were able to achieve after the last couple of seasons. To the owners and front office - well done for putting together a squad that had terrific balance. Had a good mix of role players and alphas. To Modi and the coaches, we had the defensive gameplan that troubled every side. To the boys, played their hearts out all year and almost got there. Abercrombie, if you don’t come back next season, thanks for all the memories bro. A true pro that played his all in this series.

Kings know how to make runs. They have streaky dudes that can catch fire and make tough shots. Plenty of guys I can’t stand on that team and in the ownership, but I do take make hat off to Walton Jnr and Cooks. They turned up big on the 4th.

Gutted but pretty content with the season.

Thanks Breakers and can’t wait to see ya next season.

Man, I thought that was the definition a choke. We just bottled it in the 4th. I don’t think the refs had any material impact on the outcome.

It was a frantic game, so nervy. Like 2 school teams going at it.

Lots of ugly, ill-advised offence, lots of panicked defense.

Ugly, but also great finals Bball

The last 5 mins were bad as a Breakers fan. I was also puzzled with some of Maor's lineups with such a small rotation.

Anyway, a much better season than everyone was expecting.

We need to deepen our squad. I'm glad it seems Maor knows it too

I'll put this here, as it relates to this season.

    TOTAL SPEND FOR 2022-23 SEASON

    Adelaide 36ers: $2.92 million.

South East Melbourne Phoenix: $2.85 million.

    Perth Wildcats: $2.64 million.

    Sydney Kings: $2.40 million.

    Melbourne United: $2.39 million.

    Brisbane Bullets: $2.35 million.

    Illawarra Hawks: $2.26 million.

    Tasmania JackJumpers: $2.05 million.

    New Zealand Breakers: $1.80 million.

    Cairns Taipans: $1.65 million.

    League average: $2.33 million.

The salary cap for the 2022-23 season was set at $1,703,239.36.

Exclusive: Every NBL teams total spend

Exclusive: Every NBL teams total spend

The NBL experienced an interesting phenomena over the 2022-23 season: the three teams that spent the most missed the playoffs, while the three teams that spent the least made it into the top-four.
