I obviously don’t want to speculate too much as to why Hooper flew back to Australia last week but apparently he could be gone for the remainder of the international season.
Hope he’s okay, maybe the years of carrying Australia on his shoulders has finally caught up with him.

Was it ever clarified as depression?
Could it not just be a "domestic" issue. trouble with herself, or a miscarriage or sick parent or whatever?

@Steve like you I've not seen anything clarifying why, but plenty of supposition. I think he's entitled to his privacy and wish him the best for dealing with whatever the issue is.

Exactly...that's what I thought. Everyone jumped straight to mental health...but he could have got caught cheating on his missus or someone got cancer or he has a financial problem etc etc
