Don’t think we have another thread on this but has anyone been watching the SailGP?
If you haven’t, have a watch of last nights action from St Tropez. Speeds touching 100kph!
Some pretty awesome action with skippers sailing on the edge. Was a day of who had the biggest cahones at times.
Even saw one boat come off the foils by going too fast. I guess they just lifted right up.
First race is a good one if you like a bit of trans Tasman action.

@Crucial reading about the race and speeds just now. Holy shit - they are absolutely fanging along. Seems insane to think they'll consistently be surpassing 100Kph which is what Coutts was saying. Will hunt down some replays but talk about rocketships on the water!! Squeaky bum time for sure. Must be a mad rush though

@Paekakboyz Some off the teams really sandbagged. Just couldn't handle the speed available.
Great day for the kiwis though. Burling pulled off some audacious moves.

@Crucial the speed must feel insane that close to the water and on foils to boot. Surprised our boat was going so fast with the balls on Burling!

Wind blew itself out yesterday. Very light conditions.
Kiwis made the podium race but it was a crawl around a shortened course. Bonus was that Australia (the overall leaders) didn't make the final race.
Upshot was second place in the round for NZ and they now sit only 1 point behind Australia overall.
