Tasman v Northland
-
-
Northland side to face Tasman:
- Adams, Moulds (C) Te Whata-Colley
Goodhue, Caird
Robinson, Rush, Mau'u
Nock, Reihana
Hohaia, Tua
Murray, Moorby, Leilua
Bench:
- Kauika-Peterson, Puafisi, O'Donnell, Hallam-Eames, Matich, Milo-Harris, Hawkins, Ranger
A few interesting things from that line-up.
Moulds named as Captain, not Tom, so is Tom in doubt or not expected to go 80, given we know BKP will get time too, so, yeah...
Good to see Caird back
Nock starting, sheesh!
Macilai dropped for Pisi. Maciali having probably his best ever season defensively, swapped out for possibly the worst defending player we have!
Cooper dropped for returning Hawkins, although if I am honest, Cooper doesnt look right, and I'm talking his body language and the way he is moving before he runs out on the park
Fantastic to see Moorby back, do think his organisation of our defence is a big part of things, made noticable in his absence, although he has a battle keeping Pisi on his wing...
Mau'u looked good when he came on last week, but knowing what you get form Matich, that musta just about been a coin toss.
Rush to 8, will get a chance to show his versatility, but his form has been to hard to ignore not starting him, and think given Toms lack of rugby...Rush is pushing him at 6 anywayWonder what the plan is for the BOP game during the week, as I expect thier side right now, will be massively dependent on if they get a challenge if Waikato roll Wellington.
- Adams, Moulds (C) Te Whata-Colley

A not at all surprising change, Tom replaced in starting lineup by Matich and Matiu comes to bench.
While Rush is still named at 8, surely he and Matich will swap.
There have to some serious concerns about Toms head now, I think they should just pull the pin for this season, give him the summer and see where he is at for the super pre-season (the AB 15 is probably not on the cards given how little he has played, along with being gunshy with his usual aggressive game most of 2022, IMO of course)

Tom is a worry. We miss him.

I know…
And he grubbers…
-
@kev needs to be told not to fucking kick
-
Rookie errors
-
Unluggy
-
Ffs...
-
Tackle low FFS..!
-
-
Crap pass poor
-
Hotham in the cowshed today!
Poor by our midfield on both sides there
-
Same culprits doing the same shit. Ranger and Hohaia is our best centre pairing? Really…
-
@J77 Kalani/Murray/Tua are also options...

Hohaia leaves massive hole
-
Why the off-load when it’s not on.
-
Not sure why Nock chased the ball instead of sliding, then Hohaia does what hohaia does
-
Bit lucky there...
-
Like it when our forwards are direct. We look good.
-
Missing too many first up tackles, how many by the pair wearing 12 and 13 I wonder
-
@taniwharugby playing at wrong end…need territory
-
Is that a permanent sub?
-
Looked like no arms in that...?
-
Didn’t even get his hands on ball. Bit unlucky.
-
What a joke.
-
Biggest concern for me is once again the non appearance of Tom Robinson..i am hearing through sources that even light contact is causing head issues ,its not the first time during this years seasons hes made the call to pull himself out
-
Unless that first one was forward off red where was thier knock on?
-
Hohaia is just terrible
-
Blake Hohaia can piss right off.. such a liability
-
Hohaia defensively is awful..
-
Great try
-
Seriously...when will we learn.
Well worked by Tasman, but awful by Blake
-
Far too many errors, many unforced, just playing in the wrong parts of the park
-
What was Ranger doing, his man runs 5m away from him to set that up
-
Ranger needed to shift. Got static and came in. Poor play by him.
-
Here we go.. another 40 pointer coming up. How the hell do these retards look like a contender then only two weeks later look like complete rabble?
