Two Red Cards in the first 12 minutes. Both pretty fair - one with zero mitigation, the other only a little

      12-0 to France

I was thinking about watching this one. But as there have been two Red Cards I'm not going to bother.

World Rugby have to realise people want to watch the players not the referees.

Both clear red cards. Pretty careless to target the heads like that.

Scotland attack looking way too predictable so far.

Keep blowing opportunities. Could have been 17-14 if they'd kept their heads

Watching to see what we will be up against in the WC from France. Have noticed France have found it difficult to defend the driving LO maul close to the line. Scotland have overplayed their hand here though. The trick is to stop France in the carry. Once they get shunted back, they tend to lose their application to task. It also strikes me that under the new laws being trialled in SRP our boys are going to be used to the pace going at a fair clip, and will want the ball in play longer, whereas France are used to many stoppages while those big gym-bunny forwards will be gasping for air and will no doubt try to slow the game down to suit. Aggressive defence to sit them down on their arses, running those forwards around and creative flair should do it. France seem susceptible to the counter-ruck and broken play, once their structure is breached they seem short on ideas.

Russell playing like a dickhead. Making the wrong decisions way too often

@Victor-Meldrew Agreed. Comms love him, but he needs to look at his game management.

If you keep your head, keep up the pace and, above all, be accurate, France start to get rattled. Swarm defence near the breakdown is fine but they are opening up their D out wide.

@Victor-Meldrew Yep I noticed that too. Get into their heads, and they are fragile.

Yep. This game is there for the taking, but Russell makes too many bad decisions. Needs to stop looking for miracle plays - he's not Dan Carter FFS

Scotland sloppy defence falling off tackles lets Fickou in for a match winning try, icing on the cake for France

My problem with this rationale is that there are LOADS of incidences of head contact that go unpunished. Its roulette at this stage.

McCloskey clotheslined Carpuzzo yesterday at full pelt and got nada.

The Scottish player in November (captain?) entering a ruck from a 25 yard run up and launching himself into the Aussie players head...nada.

Retallick getting his eye socket broken....nada.

Bundee Aki smashing Ofa Tuungafasi in the neck and invaliding him from the series...nada

The laws and the game as a whole are not in lockstep if players are getting sent off every week.

The sport is a fucking farce now.
