    Argghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Far out we missed a layup with seconds remaining to tie the game in the Asian Cup U16 Championship final against the Aussies.

We ran the perfect play too.

Sources: NZ sign NBA forward Anthony Lamb

Anthony Lamb has signed with the New Zealand Breakers as an injury replacement, sources told ESPN.

well, the NBA games didn't go well

Taipans got beat by 60. Definitely not helped by both our bigs being ruled out before the game. At least we didn't let Cooks score all over us

Then the Breakers, who i thought might do better with a bit more experience in the lineup, got beat by 40

It doesn't look like the Breakers game was on ESPN in NZ.

Looking at the box score, 6-38 from deep and 30% for FGs. Ouch! The guards threw up plenty of bricks.

And the Taipans round out the tour by getting bet by the Raptors by 40. We ran out of players though, and had to draft in a replacement player for the day.
Terrible tour, smacked twice, picked up injuries, destroyed any momentum we might have had after a couple of wins the other weekend

And the Breakers lose by 20 to the Jazz. Take out the horror 1st Q they are competitive based on the Box Score.

Is their forward from last season still on the Jazz roster?

Watching the NZB for the first time this season, vs Melbourne. We started slow but hit the lead at the end of the half. It's early in the 3rd, but we look fast and athletic. The new import PG looks like an upgrade from Brown and Cheatham looks very aggressive

Tom Abercrombie has to stop shooting. Just stop.

Jackson-Cartright is lightning quick, it looks like McDowell-White has some quality help this year. Regardless of the final result, these two teams look like they will be there at the business end of the season, barring injuries

    Washington cut Xavier Cooks.

I would imagine a couple of the richer struggling clubs will be sniffing around. Okay Perth, i mean Perth.

But Sydney may not be totally happy with their roster yet either

It was always a bit of a head scratcher to me that he got that contract in the first place. Just too one dimensional for the NBA. He's got hops but no reliable jump shot, not exactly a lock down defender

    Hawks sack their midget coach

I for one will miss him prowling the sideline with imaginary lat syndrome in full effect

A good and first road win for the Breakers over Tassie but they can't catch a break with injuries. WMW had only just returned from his broken finger and now this:

And the season has its second coaching casualty, with the Sixers sacking CJ Bruton

THey copped an awful pasting on the weekend, and i think that was the catalyst.

The bottom four teams are all varying shades of shit

I went to our loss to the Bullets on Friday, and we looked fucking terrible. And the late rally when Brisbane switched off didn't change my opinion (at least Sobey was shit as well. Actually Brisbane are pretty unlikable now, with Sobey, Mitch Norton, and Baynes carrying on like a fuckhead every week). Our imports looked shit, we have no perimeter shooting to spread the floor, and half the team are barely NBL standard.

Two days later they went to Melbourne and put up the club's highest score ever, and the highest score put on Melbourne at home, with all three imports starring. We're still not a threat to play finals this year, but that's no surprise given the offseason. Tomorrow night i'll go and hurl abuse at DJ Hogg

Clearly, the Breakers need to play the Taipans every round.

Looking at the box score Abercrombie was moved to the bench for Rubstavicius in an attempt to get more offence from the starters. Tom has been great but at this stage of his career he is Dillon Boucher with a better outside shot. It seems to have had the desired effect.

That's not saying much, Tom is a liability shooting

That was my point. He is still a great defender but his outside shot is inconsistent at best.

Delany needs to be better too.

Delaney looks off the pace. Lamb is playing very well right now, they need Cheatham back because he was a spark plug and a physical presence they miss right now
