Have heard Ioane Moananu is linking up with the Crusaders again next year as a replacement player (not part of the 38 contracted I don't think) as Codie Taylor is supposedly doing some sort of sabbatical.

Don't know the exact details, but I'm guessing it is more likely an extended break, e.g until May, rather than a contract in Japan.

    @frugby

There is also an injury to McAlister which might keep him out of SR for a month.

Northland outside back Heremaia Murray has been signed by the Crusaders for 2024 , great reward for a stellar Npc season.

@SouthernMann Murray had turned down a wider training squad offer from the Blues

@SBW1 with Fergus Burke out, i would imagine Rivez Reihana and Taha Kemara now battle for the number 1 spot , i suspect with Burkes injury depending on the recovery time they will want to bring in an experienced head in the group.
Reihana has been very good for the Taniwha and has grown as a player, time in the saddle helps.
Maybe Aaron Cruden could be an option, Harford looks a tidy piviot but for me i would still want someone with runs on the board.

@Steven-Harris Lincoln McClutchie is off-contract, too. The Crusaders have shown interest in him before he signed with MP, two years ago.

@Stargazer surely both him and Josh Jacomb will pick up contracts.

@Canes4life I hope so. McClutchie is easily the best 10 in the NPC at the moment and Jacomb is a promising up-and-comer. It would be such a waste of talent if they end up playing MLR or in Japan! Still hoping the Canes offer McClutchie a contract (but only if they actually intend to give him game time and not for holding tackle bags for Morgan).

Talk is Havilli will cover Kemera and Reihana if needed until Burke is back, they are hoping Start of April for Burke to be back playing.

@Stargazer Morgan is so god damn average it baffles me that even Wellington keep playing him. Sam Clarke is a way better option aswell.

    Rivez Reihana Signs for Crusaders

    Rivez Reihana Signs for Crusaders

The Crusaders are stoked to confirm Rivez Reihana will join the back ranks for the 2024 Super Rugby Pacific season. Reihana brings speed and accuracy to the back line. James Marshall – Crusaders backs coach – had his eyes on the 23-year-old for some time. In 2021 he joined the Chiefs in Super Rugby...

Coals still burning hot for returning Crusader Ryan Crotty

Coals still burning hot for returning Crusader Ryan Crotty

Crusaders centurion and absolute rugby legend Ryan Crotty has signed with the franchise for the 2024 Super Rugby Pacific season. How epic. Crotty played his last game for the Crusaders in 2019 before heading to Japan to play for the Kubota Spears. He was coaxed back to Christchurch by a mix of...

Manasa Mataele also re signed for the Crusaders

Matalele will add some real pace, Crotty has 150 games of Super Rugby a real wealth of experience. What was the story on Aaron Cruden possibly having a stint?

Crotty? Wow. Not many players who'd make Sam Whitelock seem young!
