But even if you beat Japan with a bonus point then you’re at 10

Argentina should beat Chile with 5 pts and Japan with 4 pts

    Which puts Argentina on 13

That means only a win against England will see Samoa through

    Can’t see it

Made it hard for themselves impressed by their defence. Some off side calls were questionable and did not show any replays on any of them 🤷🏽‍♂️

Another cripple fight. Argentina are really underwhelming. Samoa are a motley crew of ex super rugby players and ex all blacks at the tail end of their careers. CL had a really poor game. Non stop whistle from the ref. Lee and the halfback the best of the samoans

Is anyone willing to argue the ABs are poorer without luatua??

@MiketheSnow Fully agree, we're gone now. Will be tough against a fresher Japan off a shortish turnaround, but don't see any reason why we can't get up for it, and Japan have been pretty poor so far this year as a whole.

@Billy-Tell Yeah we get it, Samoa are tier 2 with a limited player pool, they make do with what they have. No need to state the obvious.

Sounds to me like you’re stating the obvious.

Don’t be so tetchy. Think Samoa should look to promote some youth rather than players in their 30s. They bring experience but some genuinely looked like veteran grade players. IMO players should decide early on am I for NZ or for Samoa?

As an aside that card call was another piece of crap. Argentina guy runs deliberate blocking. Should have been at worst a penalty for pushing a player.

Well it's true lol, and of course players are gonna choose NZ, there's no money in playing for Samoa. In an ideal world they would promote youth, but your value skyrockets if you play for NZ, playing for Samoa restricts your value, and it ends up costing the individual more should they choose Samoa over a tier 1 nation. this has been talked about for years now, they make do with what they have and punch above their weight.

Comparing Samoa to a tier 1 nation is a poor comparison and I don't mean that rudely.

@Bones It sounds like we're lucky to have the South African commentary team that includes Rikki Swannell.

Pretty sure that's the World feed (not South African despite Stransky and random sideline guy).

Berry blows the whistle instead of giving Argentina advantage. That could have been a try.

There was some sort of second offence.

Yeah, wasn't convinced the Argie shouldn't have been pinged for obstruction.

I quite like Rikki. Stan coverage really good all round for me. Quality feed, really sharp picture. Rikki is good. Nice little 24min highlights package ready for me to watch this morning when I woke up. Happy!

I picked Samoa for an upset win but they were disappointing. Leali'ifano was poor and I expected more from the likes of Luatua. It's not much point selecting two power wingers and then not giving them any ball.

Samoa had the players to easily win that and should have. They seem to be incredibly poorly coached and not at all in unison.
