SAvea J has to do better than that on defense doesn't he?

He's done that about 3 weeks now. It's bloody difficult defending in that circumstance but I'd bet there's a better technique than that that Wayne Smith has passed on

Yeah he was in a tough situation on this particular occasion but yes he has a real knack for getting beat for tries on his line where he puts a half-shoulder hit on which doesn't do the job.

Brad Shields with a terrible pass to no one, uh, JP Pietersen, and he scores his 2nd. Sharks lead 15-8

I think this ref, Van Derwesthoissn (like Joost I think) is actually one to watch for. I've seen him be good on numerous occasions

Calls it accurately, communicates well, stays calm. He had to succumb to a pointless TMO intervention at a kick of but handled it pretty well

Sharks will win this due to an excellent second half

You won't beat a decent SA team at home if you don't front up in the forwards and find some physical parity

Too much through the middle from Sharks

Enough of talking up these locks who run around in the field if they can't get 99% of their lineout ball. Romano gets the AB nod because of core role execution. Canes LO has been dire

The Sharks will win this having made twice as many tackles, a telling stat. Canes have been hassled all night

Have to stop the rancid Todd baiting. Ardie isn't the second coming by any stretch but he does a lot of really good things that can't be denied

Expect Barrett to have weeks off for concussion - he got his head in the wrong place on a head on tackle with the smallest guy on the field

Coles is awesome all round the field
