I thought it looked like that too, but pretty sure the ref said it was chacked.

I can only assume he thought it was a faster player than Nic White. Even then, attempting an awkward pass like that when he had an unmarked wing outside him was bizarre.

Passing was very noticeably laboured for a 10, but like you say, probably no worse than Hohepa. Worth persisting with.

There won't be a worse bombed try than Harkin's in 2025.
Ruben Love is not a 10. Hopefully Godfrey is back soon.

@MacDazzler 100% agree found it weird that love was at 10 yet Harkin played the whole of the NPC at 10.

@antipodean that looked as though he panicked a bit? If he had just backed himself he probably would have scored it himself with his pace.

@Biorealism My first thought watching it live was he tried to be too cute improving the angle for a conversion and just threw a horrible pass.

TBH when watching live I thought White was closing down the space so thought the pass was the right idea, the execution not so much.
Harkin could have definitely made that, White may have got to him but he wouldn't have prevented the try. A shame, as Harkin was probably the form back of the night for me until that blunder.
