Man alleges ageism after getting banned from Starbucks for asking teen barista on date
Oh hell yes.
"I have a whole webpage dedicated to age gap love."
Yeah, creep.
-
am guessing what he took as flirting was her chatting with customers and making them feel special, happens to old folks of my age all the time...you'd have to think the note had a bit more than 'hey my name is Joe, wanna go for a coffee somewhere other than Starbucks?' for the cops to need to be called??

The other day when a well developed young lady mentioned that she liked what was on my shirt, I had to remind myself that it was inappropriate to mention I liked what was in hers. Maybe if I was 20 years younger...
-
A couple of years back this young chick who worked at a cafe was flirting with me and I thought to myself "yeah, you've still got it you dog" turns out she was sussing out if I was single to set me up with her mum.
So no I don't still have it, I'm not sure I ever actually did to be honest. -

CU in the NT: campaign slogan âobsceneâ says advertising watchdog
The advertising industry watchdog has labelled a controversial guerilla tourism campaign in the Northern Territory that isnât shy about going Down Under as obscene.
The Advertising Standards Board has upheld a complaint against a range of merchandise bearing the âCU in the NTâ slogan which argues it is âextremely denigrating to womenâ.
âIt is also promoting the acceptance of a highly derogatory term used instead of vagina and is offensive to women in general,â the complaint to the ABS read.
The unofficial logo, which makers claim is designed to market the Territory to younger travellers, rippled across social media last November and generated international coverage.
T-shirts, singlets and bumper stickers that share a strong resemblance to official Tourism NT designs are also sold online.
The ASB agreed with the complaintâs argument that the promotional material was ânot funny or witty.â âThe community considered the âc-wordâ to be obscene and not appropriate in advertising in any form,â the ASB said.
NT Official, the company behind the slogan, claims itâs no different to acronyms such as âWTFâ and âLMFAOâ which the ASB doesnât deem to be offensive language. It said any adverse findings would âimpose an overly strict moral view on a fine tradition of Australian humour and in particular the great tradition of the Aussie larrikin.â
âNeither our social media posts nor our products make any reference or distinction along gender lines and do not advocate anything other than an appreciation of the natural beauty of the Northern Territory,â NT Official said in a statement to the ASB.
Despite the ruling, the industry body has no powers of enforcement. -

Fucking loved that. The Northern Territory is a special place, still has a sense of humour, and is not shy about taking the piss.
Brilliant stuff. Weird too as every female I've shown that to thinks it's funny and not offensive - when the complainants say it is "offensive to women in general" I wonder who they are reffering to?

this appears earlier in the thread, but looks like it is no longer the highest...

@taniwharugby That's insane. Imagine getting all the way up to find you'd forgotten the spanner or something.
-
@Catogrande I reckon coming down would be a nightmare! Guess they aren't high enough for a parachute or wingsuit jump?? and ensuring you get far enough away on a jump to open a chute would be a risk too.

Nice one Nick, but shouldn't it be on the US election thread...?
