The banter from the Hound was top notch.
'I'm not whinging'
'Your mouth is open and you are complaining. That's whinging'He hates Gingas too
Ha, you quoted that just as I went back and followed TRs instructions to spoiler it.
This stuff is like diarrhea. Once it's out you can't put it back.

@PN It always amazes me when this type of stuff comes up. When fans start picking shit apart. There is an army of the dead approaching a massive wall of ice. That wall mostly separates winter from everyone.....I mean for most of the series it was cold and icy on one side and fucken normal on the other! There are dudes being brought back to life by an old chick that somehow manages to turn herself into a pretty hot witch type for most of the time. Lets not forget her friends with the ability to light their swords on fire with just their hands. Or a chick that is fire proof and has FUCKEN DRAGONS!!!
Lets focus on how the fuck Bron managed to drag his pretty boy mate out of the depths in full armour...

If they had lightsabers I could understand it.

Just saw it (legally).
Some seriously cool shit, but fark me those Eastwatch ravens must have jet engines. That was testing credibility even by GOT standards.
Wasnt Uncle Benjens timely intervention fortuitous?
Aryan is wrapping around LF. She has to be or her training was all for nought.
BTW, did they really need the evidence after that? I think Dani got a pretty damn good overview of the situation. John should have screamed at her to nail the King. Fucker was just standing there.

I think the fact Jon and the gang took out hundreds of WWs tested credibility even more. They barely got a scratch!
-
@Rancid-Schnitzel Isn't the King immune to fire? I know he walked through it in previous episodes.
-
At least they are consistent with thier disregard of time and distance, and we have learned that people in The 7 Kingdoms are part fish and immune to hypothermia.
Remove the wtf moments like that and yep, she was a good un, now a undead dragon too...uh oh.
Surely with Arya knowing LF is a sneaky fuck she should know that he is also trying to drive a wedge between her and Sansa?
They want the undead to show Cersei don't they?
-
Well it was edge of the seat stuff with all that snow action and visually this ep was superb
But the strength of the series was always the plot and twists and turns that were always acceptable as we'd learned so much about the characters
We've established that Cersei is one out of the box and apparently a wriggling corpse is going to show us a side to her that 7 years hasn't.
That retrieving a dead thing plot line is a dud. It only serves to highlight the spatial and temporal inconsistencies that we're ok to make allowance for, before.
I worry the story has been shunted to make room for the visuals, which in a TV world lacking substance, is a kick in the teeth for this fan of a good story.
The drama has lost it's way these last two weeks -
Some thoughts...
Can the ice dragon still fly? And if so, will the night king be able to fly it over the wall? Could be a bit of an issue if so.
However perhaps to kill the ice dragon you just need to kill the king whitewalker who made it undead? Similar to how when the previous whitewalker got killed and all those undead fighting with it then also turned to dust and bones?
Otherwise they are gonna need to get that catapult thing from the lannisters and load it with dragon glass arrow to try and shoot down the ice dragon.
-
@JK I've got no doubt it will be able to fly. Actually, these show zombies are unique in that they retain their ability to use weapons. They're some of the most coordinated zombies in pop culture.
Yeah, I think if you kill the Night King all your problems will be solved. However, I'm picking a Drogon v Zombie Dragon show down.
-
It has to be a frost dragon breathing ice.
Now that we saw that the big fuckoff Lannister crossbow barely scratches the dragons, it surely has to come down to the dragons fighting it out by themselves? Maybe the frost manages to kill the other still remaining one leaving only Drogon alive.
If you watched the teaser for the season finale, a big meeting with all the key players is going down, would be surprised if they decide to partner up without a fight.
-
what was the Night Kings spear made of, Dragon glass or some special ice, if ice then they would surely just melt beyond the wall?
Obviously Dragons and the Undead have fought for centuries and maybe that is why they are beyond the wall with ice spears that can kill a dragon and dragons don't normally venture to the cold, and likely dragon fire can kill the Night King, but when each is in the others back yard they have an advantage over the visitor?
Someone needs to tell Dany she is Jon's Aunty...although her family lineage isn't too concerned with the keeping it in the family angle....
-
@Siam Agree. Set piece action sequences have overtaken characterisation and plot. It's been awesome but the issue is having to ramp up the action otherwise it becomes a bit meh.
Quick question for all you GoT nerds out there. Once the dead have been killed again can they be brought back yet again?

I'm not sure. Is dragon fire different to normal fire?
-
@Rancid-Schnitzel This is just a gut feeling, but I have read quite a lot of fantasy books and I would say that yes it is worse than normal fire.
Say in Lotr, you would have normal fire->Smaug->Balrog->Mount doom
That's how I have always thought it.

The one that is now undead blew up in mid-air. Going by the other reanimated creatures it will be a flying skeleton

@Crucial You might be right too, but even for the explosion, the body seemed rather intact on the way down and it's not like it was a common wildling, it's a dragon, so I expect that it is cooler than a skeleton dragon, which is cool too, but a frost dragon is cooler.
