@Kirwan easy $3b I reckon.
Can see why but didn’t love. Will be watching again with a mate in a week
Looks like it, since I posted that it's passed everything but Avatar; 2.188b. Incredible.
And they note it took Avatar 47 days to reach 2b, Endgame took 11 days. Another thing to keep an eye on, could be the first film to cross 1b for the US Domestic gross (Force Awakens got to 936m)

Just shows how much $$$ a film can make if everyone goes out to see it.
No doubt too this film will be heavily pirated.
Those are stunning numbers box office wise -
@Virgil It's the repeat viewings that does stuff like this. Was the same for Avatar, Titanic and Force Awakens.
Look at Hooroo, didn't love it but is seeing it twice. Once you get that sort of multiplier the money goes mental, putting aside all the advantages Marvel has built for itself telling basically a 22 movie story.

It’s the number of seats sold, I saw it at Westgate which I think you know well. That place is never sold out showings wise, i went to see it on opening night thinking with multiple viewing slots I could just roll up and get a ticket for myself and my daughter... nope all sold out bar single tickets in shit spots
So we watched it in different rows and I was in the very front row of seats watching with a crooked neck.. -

To be fair the only reason I am seeing it twice is me and a mate have a man date when ever a marvel movie comes out and I haven't told him I have seen it.
True-love wanted to see what it was all about and I couldn't say no.

The film has numerous flaws and Hulk's time travel explanation made no sense. But not being much of a Marvel fan I didn't really care. I guess that must be the fair-weather fan's reaction to SW, although Marvel has so many epic characters.
Is Falcon supposed to replace Captain America? Will that work? He always struck me as only one rung above Hawk Eye in the mediocre department.

Can you remind me about Hulks time travel? I'm trying to work out which part you are talking about.
The new cinema has nailed it in terms of filling up the theatre. They have beds in front two rows and then recliner chairs for front rows after and then general seating behind. That way you don't have empty seats up the front where no one wants to sit. Because you are reclined or near lying down, you don't get a sore neck.

He was explaining why not just going and killing baby Thanos would not change the future to their liking. Surely Capt America deciding to stay in the past would fark things up too. It all hurts the brain too much so no point in thinking about it.
There is also mention of how Stark kind of farked things up by bringing back all those people 5 years after they disappeared rather than prevent them disappearing at all. Saved his daughter, but damn the readjustment would be awkward.
But yeah, can't really think about that. It's from comic books.

Oh yes! The explaining of it. I hear what you saying but one thing I did like that I am hopeless of repeating verbatim was where he said you are creating your own future rather than changing a past, seemed to kind of make sense to me.

Most movies and tv shows have followed the Butterfly effect logic when it comes to time travel. Any kind of change in the past will have an effect in the future.
Endgame went instead with the alternate timeline.
Change something in the past the future will remain how it has happened, but another reality will play out instead. -

@Hooroo yeah not like you can snap your fingers and unsee any GoT spoilers aye!
You can at least do that to a Thanos search using chrome

Change something in the past the future will remain how it has happened, but another reality will play out instead. It's a cool twist on things, but it's difficult not to question it. You'd think if you went back in time and killed Thanos and destroyed a couple of time stones that the future you came from would be impossible.
And with Starlord getting knocked out, wouldn't that completely change the GOTG timelines?
-
@Rancid-Schnitzel although the timeline you came from has already happened, and when jumping back in time you arent really going back, you are simply going to another timeline that hasnt happened yet...and thats when I took a nurofen.
