Gabbard still there.

Her support crashed as soon as people had a serious look at her.
It will be interesting to see if she boosted her name recognition enough to be a VP option. The white men that are left will be pressured to pick a dark skinned female
She could have some competition there , isn’t Warren starting to slide now ? She identifies as a woman of colour.
-
I haven't seen many people mention Klobuchar as a VP candidate. I think she's the best option if they want to go for a female.
She can think on her feet and could play the traditional VP attack dog role. Warren and Harris have been poor in the debates when talking points are pushed back onThey'll probably go for Stacey Abrams though
-
@Duluth I’m not sure that she’d be a huge asset considering her reputation for treating staff like shit . I thought she threw a stapler at one of her staff , it was actually a binder.

Terrible resource management appears to be the norm. Resignation letter from a state operations director for Harris: https://int.nyt.com/data/documenthelper/6541-mehlenbacher-harris-resignation-letter/f0475e62906e5d2056f8/optimized/full.pdf#page=1

Pleased to see the Kamala Harris' campaign fail.
She was totally inauthentic and very unlikeable.Warren has terrible political instincts and I think when she is put on a national stage, her lecturing kindergarten teacher demeanor won't be popular.
Biden appears to be going senile and his Ukraine dealing might be further exposed in a Senate trial.
Pete Buttigeig's sexual preference parading his husband around might be all good with white liberals but it will NOT play well with church going African Americans in the Southern and swing states. Funnily, Politico won't mention this as the obvious reason for his lack of black support + no name recognition. He knows this is his Achilles-heel.
https://www.politico.com/news/2019/12/03/buttigieg-black-outreach-2020-074867Bernie is hated by the DNC establishment and the DNC media. As I alluded to earlier, I think he would have the best chance because he has authenticity. But I don't think he has the numbers.
Bloomberg, despite having a shit ton of money, is not actually very popular with the Dem base . Plus he comes across as pretty damn old and low energy.
What should the Dems do?

https://www.politico.com/news/2019/12/03/buttigieg-black-outreach-2020-074867Rather odd comment given the huge amount written about how and why this isn't actually the key reason Mayor Pete polls so badly with blacks.Plenty of church going whites that are homophobic and that isn't hurting him as much.
His record regarding blacks while mayor is far more hurtful alongside his massive unintended gaffe saying 'all lives matter' in a 'black lives matter' discussion.
He has basically shot himself in the foot so badly that the best he can hope for is an increased profile followed by a years long concerted effort to turn around his reputation.
I's also add women to his list of achilles heels -

As for church going whites.. I doubt they are a significant percentage of the democrat primary populace. Generally murdering babies doesnt sit well with church goers of any skin colour. And the Democrats are definately a party supporting abortion.

I think party split is pretty well on par with the overall split for all christian groups part from Evangelicals and Mormons.
EDIT: I found a survey that backs this up although the big proviso is that Republicans 'care' much more about their religious beliefs and get their 'right and wrong' beliefs more strongly from religion.

I think the candidates and their problems are a reflection of the deeper problem. The Dem voters and thus party are deeply divided.
Some of their policies are very unpopular within swing states (Medicare for All costs, perceived softness on illegal immigration, higher taxes)
They are trying to unite the factions under the "orange man bad" banner.

I think it's more that they can't work out whether to fight extremes with extremes or plead to common sensibilities.
The 'middle ground' doesn't sway that much so targeting them is a bit of a lost cause and there will be a % of Republicans in that zone that simply won't vote anyway.
The Dems run the same risk (alienating the middle) if the candidate is too extreme and alienating the extremes if they don't appear to be trying to fight fire with fire.Personalities aside it will simply come down to whether enough people feel 'affected' enough to kick out the current bunch and replace them for the sake of it.
None of the Dem candidates comes across as a leader to do something positive to peoples lives. The best they can aim at is healthcare (and possibly fixing the tax tables so people don't get stung with end of year bills). Massive public works (jobs)investment is about the only tool left in the cupboard

Which is why I said church going. Pelosi and Mayor Pete (and Trump ) claim I be christians... But I bet they hardly ever go to to church without inviting the media to film their piety.

@Crucial
No. I think they are truly divided. And there is a longer term power struggle for the ideology of the Dems beyond this election. My money is on the socialists.
What is considered "extreme" by moderate Dems, is honestly believed by the Sanders-Warren wing of the party. It is not considered extreme at all.
-
@Crucial Except there is nothing extreme about Trumps presidency, his personality is extreme. But his policies are very mainstream.
