I saw an argument on the train today. A woman had got off and there was a spare seat as two people argued that each other should take it. If you read a Corbyn agenda, this wasn't supposed to happen today. Apparently straight white people like me are now supposed to be fully entitled trampling over the sick, disabled and homeless to put more into our already substantially overflowing coffers.
Spot on.
Treating people who don't agree with you as evil, greedy, fascistic scum might give you a warm and fuzzy feeling in your echo chamber, but bites you on the arse in the real world

@Victor-Meldrew yeah, agree entirely. I remember when I lived here in the early noughties I couldn't believe how nasty British politics was. That was in the days of Hague vs Blair.
I feel in this election, that has heavily spilled over into the people and it's just not on. Social media posts (written by people who should and do know better) have been crazy. Time for the act to be cleaned up.

s I couldn't believe how nasty British politics was.
And it's so counter-productive,
A few months ago, I read Gustafson's bio of Keith Holyoake. He used to tell his MP's there was no place for animosity against Opposition MPs and encouraged friendships across the political divide. Used to take Opposition MP's along with him on overseas visits.
No surprise he managed to radically change NZ as much as he did.

So Corbyn won't lead Labour in to the next election.
He shouldn't lead them in the carol service.

This is a parody account but it's actually highlighting an important reason as to why the main centre-left parties I'm the West are not doing well. It's become difficult to draw a distinction between them and the far left loonies, so people don't know what they're voting for anymore. They desperately need to clean house.
Titania McGrath is a parody?

Amazing result. Seven elections in the past 5yrs (2x referenda, 3x general, 2x European) and probably now zero in the next 5yrs. Should make the whole political discourse less toxic.
As other posters have said, the lack of self-perspective from Labour/Momentum and the far left is staggering, and deeply amusing.

Just going through the overall vote share and a few other points of note
UKIP had a terrible result with 23k votes across the entire country
To put this in perspective the Monster Raving Looney Party had almost 10k.
Brexit party did poorly as well with only 2% of the vote. Quite at odds with their Euro seats, although this cannot really be called unexpected
Tories took 44% of the vote share.
Despite Lib Dems having a disaster, they actually picked up over 50% more votes! Just not enough in the right places to get seats (including that of Jo Swinson).
Unsurprisingly, Labour got decimated going from 40% to 32%. Still blows my mind that 32% could vote for the anti-Semite Socialist.Nice to put this to bed for 5 years. I don't think I could go through another one of these.

The celeb twitter meltdown has been glorious.
The sheer bile and self-hatred spewing out from rich people who espouse love and togetherness is epic.

Andrew Doyle - the creator of Titania actually voted for Corbyn in the leadership referendum. Then he got redpilled and realised what a complete wankbiscuit the bearded loon is .
Apart from the celebrity thrashwanking about what selfish racists the people of the Uk are for not voting for Labour the arsecracks over at the standard have been pushing the narrative that the Uk media would never give a proper socialist a real chance . There’s not a lot of honesty in the far left , it’s one of the reasons it’s so scary to think about them getting real power .

The problem these far-left socialists have is they don't understand you absolutely need a strong capitalist engine to drive the economy to fund their socialist programs. It seems self-evident but they're happy to tank the economy and attack the rich that generate most of the wealth, while trying to provide "free" healthcare and education for all. State funded healthcare and education is something only rich capitalist societies can afford.

I actually think they do, I think their attitude is "I can tear everything down but I'll still be king of the rubble". Thats why I loathe them so much, while they hide behind a veneer of wanting to look out for the poor and downtrodden it's really all about them grabbing power.
