Did a PYO chillies run before lockdown and have now made harissa, dried chipotles, smoked paprika and have a frozen supply of โfreshโ for curries etc.
I have a massive Rocoto and two smaller Habanero's along with some Hungarian yellows, birds eye and standard red long chillies all fruiting well and some are on second pick.
If anyone wants some sent to them, PM me and I will send you a selection.

Having a virtual cocktail party at 6 (local) tonight, if you want to join us. Scrabbling around the booze shelf (we are not big spirit drinkers) we're going to have Foghorns (Gin, fresh lime and ginger ale), espresso martinis, and some other mixes (georgia gin maybe)
-
I only have 2 small plants, used them to make a tomato and chilli chutney a few weeks back, very nice, but next time if I have more chillies I'll up the chilli/tomato ratio
-
god i love chilli!

So digressing a moment from chillis - today was my first day actually working from home as I didn't go into the office as I'm feeling mildly unwell. (Not CV symptoms)
I must say its very civilised. Looking out into the garden, back door open, stop and make coffee (expensive Italian expresso machine finally paying its way). Take a break to put a wash on and again an hour later to hang it on line. Not having to bother sanitising every time I move.
I could definitely get used to this...

Apple butter
This I want to know more about.
As for lockdown check in.
It appears its going better for some. After a day from hell- other people's bull and generally stupidity when I'm already working to the max to get an urgent project finished, I've decided to work from home today before I end up with a grievance against me. I'm not in HR or staff management so I really don't want to listen people at the moment, theres someone else for that.
Not even dressed yet. Having to go to work and work with highly anxious people, which I am sympathetic too as I too have been very anxious lately, is just very taxing.Heads up to UK ferners. GPs are essentially hubbing together now, i assume this will be the same all over the UK apparently from Monday eg. Our site is going to be nurse led to keep things like blood tests and child immunisations going so we've definitely got the better deal. Other sites in our hub we deal with route gp queries and admin. The GPs then go on rota to staff the "red centre" at the NEC (they absolutely are not happy about this) , so this is seeing ill patients but not necessarily with covid19, but conveniently can then be transferred to our nightingale site if needed.
So we are set for Monday, I've got 4 nurses from other surgeries coming to do an induction with to our clinical system as they use a different one and by lunchtime they will start and their clinics are full with babies and insulin starts.Today, I really want to eat my French toast, drink tea and read with my daughter. A bit of yoga would be nice. Sit in the garden.
Ill try and do a little of this and work too. Then the weekend is mine. Definitely having a gin tonight.
Hope you are all hanging in there. Not even watching the news anymore.
