Rugby has a problem. 30 penalties in 80 minutes?

Quelle surprise here comes m4l moaning about rugby.
The world is right again! Maybe change to rattue4life?

@Donsteppa Ha yes! Both Chiefs hookers threw pies and didn't help the jumpers I thought.
Perhaps we can add hooker to the list along with lock -
@Anonymous buckle up for tomorrow.

I see a few complaints about the penalties, but they all seemed correct. Players will adjust, and I’m pleased to see the players no longer allowed to keep rolling and play it immediately.
Also can win turnovers again, that’s a bonus too.
Was enjoyable game. Brilliant finish. One thing that stood out was Webber’s passing was terrible, whoever was first receiver was having to jump or catch it behind them. Negated having the better backline.
Highlanders defence and forwards won them the game.

I don’t have any analysis or stats to back me up (new fern Tagline right there), but I reckon early rounds tend to have more penalties than most.
I don’t think Williams was hunting for them, but there was a fair amount of inaccurate play out there. Not that it’s unexpected, but it should be improved.
Smith just made a good point that he felt they were inaccurate at the ruck. It showed for both sides and particularly in attack, hence quite a few penalties where ball carries were either isolated or the clean out from attacking team mates was off the mark.

Lol that will be Bryn Gatland's finest moment.
Did the same thing for North Harbour v Otago in the 2016 Championship Final.

Lesson for Sky Sport NZ - don't ever invite Wheeler back to comms, he sounds as boneheaded as they come. Seemed happier than A Smith

@Number-10 doing it over the old man must be hard to beat though.

Can we go back in to Lockdown.
Drive it, Hammer! Drive it!
Hey, you're still here, haven't seen you for a while. Was starting to get worried.
At least the winning of the game from the Highlanders was due to their two Shield Snorters try scorers.

Bro, it’s the first game back after a pandemic lockdown. He’s got a bit of extra energy to share with the viewers. Does it really matter?

Can't believe the chiefs have been slowing it down all game then stupidly take the droppy with so much time left.
Thanks!
Yep, I was hurling more abuse at them than the amount I hurled at Judas Taumalolo last night!
