So Mr R.L is worse now and 2 of my doctor friends said he should get another test as it doesn't always show positive in first few days!?! Wtf!?
Dosing him up with lemsips and ibuprofen, his shivers are awful. Never seen him this poorly. Test booked again tomorrow.π
Test isn't as bad as people make out. Tell him what the medical guy told me. Keep a poker face, makes it less uncomfortable.

@R-L said in Lockdown Check In:
@MN5 he's not bothered about the test itself, its the validity of the result!!
Fair call. I had a weird Summer sore throat shivering type thing so the other half insisted I get tested before we travel. I can only assume they got it right and I didn't infect half the South Island.
-
@MN5 well I haven't heard about people getting false negatives if you can even call them that until this week, my friends parents are in their 70s and are both in bed with diagnosed covid but neither have coughs, just extreme fatigue and headache which is what makes me think it's what Mr has

@Catogrande I'm sure there's a video completion of Jonny Wilkinson's drop goals you can watch.

Is it okay to admit I'm not okay today? Really very down.

There's only one thing for it. Always, always, always bring a smile to my face. Just perfect:
Its definitely ok mate. Cant imagine what its like in your neck of the woods, its easy to forget how easy we have it here.
Great choice of therapy. Keep it on repeat.

Yep. I just loathe post-Christmas January and February. Dull, dark, wet and miserable. And I've seen Mrs Meldrew for 3 days in the last 8 weeks.

Great idea. Tomorrow it's the epic 2013 Ellis Park Test with a decent red.

Hate the grey. Looking after her parents?

Looking after her parents?
Yeah. Really shitty time for both of us, but it'll pass.

Know what, it's quite funny...so far the ridiculously short days hasn't depressed me as much this winter, I figure because I'm not travelling so don't notice it as much.

Allowed to meet 1 person out if nearby!

Could be. For me it's the winter dullness and the post-Christmas gloom I don't like. On the plus side, the days are getting longer and the birds are starting to sing in the morning...

Cheers, thanks.
No, I'm fine in reality. Life's good - just a convergence of stuff which will take a few weeks to sort out. More frustration than anything else.

@Victor-Meldrew aww, I actually think of you as Victor Meldrew from One foot in the grave (sorry you aren't in the Jamie Dornan gang)
I rewatched some of it about a year ago and was still so funny. One of my faves.
So it does make me sad to think you are glum.
This lock down definitely feels like it would be tougher for some purely due to being in the winter. You guys are all supportive of eachother its lovely.
In this germy household Mr RL has had another negative result so we are done flogging the covid horse, its definitely not covid, but now he's developed a cough, still weak as hell, can't sleep. God knows! Nothing worse than a sick man in the house π€¦πΌββοΈ
This lockdown is flying by and that's down to homeschooling for me I reckon, its so full on for a reception class.
I'm baking this afternoon not sure what yet, something that will go nice with gin tonight... βΊοΈ
