Well, a couple of weeks in quarantine probably coming soon. Would like to say that I am just not looking forward to it, but I am dreading it, really going to be shit. And still not vaccinated.
You will get a jab before you go though won't you? Where will you do the MIQ? Decent hotel? Some of theirs aren't the best...
Give me a call for a beer before you go.
We will go to Eden Park before then, and I will not drink quite as quickly before hand. I assume that @Duluth will be there.

@voodoo Thanks mate.
Ordered a lot of Shield Snorters lagers to watch the rugby with my dad this weekend.
This? https://threewisebirds.co.nz/product/hawkes-bay-lager-beer/
I straight up didn't know this existed.

That's a great can design, I'd drink that beer

@nepia Woah. In a true Fern-like coincidence I am heading out to Three Wise Birds in about 25 minutes for lunch.
After claiming I didn’t know it existed I just looked it up and I’ve been there - on my last trip back to NZ in July 2019 (stoopid Covid).

Yup, I'll be there. I'll try to drink quicker.

@Bones I have it on good authority they are hard to find...we must have a few in bushes out the back though.
Just leave them be anyway, you would deserve a good peck in the eye if you go sticking your nose in.Humphrey Lyttleton lives.
Hoorah!
:::
Yeah, went over everyone's head.
.... Mornington Crescent!
@R-L's post reminded me more of Humph's double entendres. E.g. The Lovely Samantha and her bee-keeping hobby - always willing to show her male friends her 34 Bees...
We all miss Samantha. She's gone to the country residence of her new gentleman friend, who has some interesting birds in the thicket. He keeps a young chicken, but Samantha says there are also wild breeds there, and she can't wait to see his Woodcock, Pullet and Swallow.
She liked her friend’s kidneys in red wine, and his oxtail in beer, but nothing beat his tongue in cider.
What's better than eating a mandarin?
And don’t get her started on gelato!

Just took my first planned Holiday since 2019. Three days (um make that four days thanks to Covid cancellation of coach) at the Hilton in Taupo with my BFF celebrating 25 years of friendship. I needed that more than I thought. Can certainly recommend The Bistro as a restaurant of choice, good food, ambience, a modest wine list and great service.
Was annoyed as fuck that some pricks on the coachj on Monday weren't wearing masks - I myself wear them even though I have issues with adequate air intake (I have 1 and a bit lungs left) so Joe Gym Rat had no fucking excuse and Johnny ACT Senior Citizen was just a grade a arsewipe

A week to go until my little lamb returns to school and I could make a kebab out of her today...
We've both hit a wall, she hates the sight of a laptop and I suspect she actually hates her teacher now (the one on the screen not the fake mum teacher)
I've sacked it all off for the day, left my work laptop on and have zero guilt, currently soaking in the bath eating houmous and cucumber whilst she plays with her lego in her room.She's 5, she can count and she can read better than most kids her age, she will be OK for today.
Anyone else getting a bit crazy even though the end of lockdown is in sight-ish?

Sit back and have another glass of wine

@canefan never during the day...
The sun is always over the yardarm somewhere in the world.
