How long you been here?

I shared the 2007 drama with fellow Ferner, the esteemed Shark. The power went out at my dad's place just out of Christchurch, so I called Shark and asked if I could pop in to his place above the Night N Day at Lower Riccarton. Got there (purchased some snacks on the way up - as you do) and slowly watched the horror unfold. I don't even know if we spoke after the final whistle - I think I just left in shock.
He may or may not have finished off my prawn chips.

You can check out, but you can never leave!

Since about 8am, when I logged in to read the comments on the All Blacks vs Pumas and Qantas Harmless Wallabies vs Springboks.
Why do you want to know this? Are you from Border Protection or Medieval Death Cult Watch? ... oh, I see now.

Profile says 7 years but definitely recall being a frequent poster somewhere around the cricketing summer of 06/7. Must not have moved the account properly after the last migration.
First solid memory was a thread entitled being Mills injured which pretty much consisted of posters cursing the OP for making them think Muliaina was out in the lead up to the RWC rather than Kyle Mils out of the Australian summer.
Read some of the articles for a couple of years before that too.
Was camping for the 2007 QF (watched a truck stop somewhere in mid north NSW) so missed out on that debacle but the Henry vs Deans fallout was an absolute shit storm and instead of new posters it was old vets.
PaarlBok will forever be the greatest.

13 years ago while living in UK. Needed moral support during RWC and wasn't getting it on PR. For all the wackos we've had here over the years, they're tame (or banned quickly) compared to that place.
I think I self banned off all rugby discussion for a week after 2007 QF. Was just coming right then Wellington choked in yet another NPC final.
Cricket season couldn't start soon enough. At least we're used to being plucky underdogs there.

Started during lions tour 2005. Have given myself a couple of time-outs, and even tried the competition for a while. I did get banned from GAGR for arguing with the lord of GAGR though (short-term only).
But like a fly to a piece of shit, I just keep coming back.

Mine was permanent. Turns out he didn't like being called out on a lie.

I ended up quitting as I got sick of the tone of the board being that Kiwi's were of a lower class than Australians. Well that and the Queensland/NSW slagging matches got a bit boring.
Maybe it's changed now, maybe it hasn't. I occasionally read the articles on the front page, and to be fair, some of them are of a high quality. But I'll leave the forums to themselves.

I didn't really post in the rivals days. Maybe 1 or 2 posts a year when someone really pissed me off.. must have been Phooey?
stink you can't read click through to the comments from the link above. was looking forward to reading whatever genius comment I made back in 2004 about Lomu. At a guess I'd say I prob called him a fat lazy waste of space.... ha!
I really have no idea how I ended up at this site. Sh*t I'd love to know how much $$$ in terms of hourly pay my various companies have spent on me talking bollicks on here!

Cept Phooey.. but I just take it he left because he finally agreed with me that Reuben Thorne is farking sh*t. ha.

I remember there was a guy with Mooloo in his name that would ridicule anyone for feeling nervous in the days leading up, its a certainty he would say , this is not a dangerous French team he said, France are shit ,
Pretty sure he went missing , I looked out for him afterwards to see his reaction , but never saw him again
There seems to have been several incarnations/variations of that Mooloo. They start out reasonable, but when challenged they get a bit psychotic - proven wrong, they disappear. Not sure whether they're all the same person or whether the genes have spread wider into the Waikato population.
The most recent one was determined that Richie should dropped for Cane.

Been sifting since 06' . Me and a mate (who got me onto the Shield Snorters part of the forum before it combined) started a Shield Snorters supporters club of dunedin had about 50 of us gardies would put on cheap pints and a bbq for us when ever games were on. Even chucked 2 buses that we filled to the brook in 06. They turned the ground mics off because the only people there were us and our chants weren't family friendly. Along the lines of 50 drunks chanting ' you fucked up you fucked up' ' Anton's got a recedder' at every lineoutand a few personal jabs for any otago players we knew in the team.
In all honesty I had massive exams in 07 and planned on sleeping in then watching the replay over breakfast before hitting the books. Ended up getting woken up by a flat mate kicking a hole in the wall another one crying and another one who had never even said a swear word around his GF before telling her to fuck off as he needed to be alone. I decided nothing good would ever come from watching that game as I was more into rugby then the majority of my flatmates.

May have told this story before but my mate couldn't make the game due to a new girl he was seeing. He stayed the night (happy days) and was about to up and leg it over to our place. When he said he was going to see the boys she told him it was her birthday and being a GC he couldn't ditch her.
She offered to cook kai and said they could watch it together. So he settled in to watch it in bed, while she cooked them up a feed and they had some quality time.
Fast forward to the end of the match. He was nearly in tears sitting at the end of the bed. She didn't get it at all, and obviously missed all the signals of emotional trauma, and asked him 'Well the games over now, what are we doing today?". I don't think he lost his shit but he did say something like "I've got to go sorry'.
Never saw her again.
What a bummer, not often you find a girl that will let you watch a game she isn't interested in, on her birthday, after some boom boom fun time AND cooks you breakfast.
Ha!! Murphy is a fucker!
