Fark looks a killer, I like Mikght be the lunchtime attack tomorrow.

Those mintutes go really really long when you are rowing those 1000m intervals, I imagine they will be evern longer on this one... Also must do a warmup next time for that interval thing.

Weight down to 102kg, am going to try that no carbs at night thing for month and see what happens to weight. Tried on my old Valley blazer, circa. 1992, and it fits again - my manager one from a year or two back now like a trench coat!! -
Saturday Row: 10 minutes/ 2753m Then upper body weightsw session, at gym.

Saturday about a million hours swimming with the Willie Weka Tribe. i think there are five boys, but coule be up to 14 they move around that fast. Saturday night at the Waratahs lose to the Chiefs too <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Sunday RTow: 10,000 / 36:45.6 Knocked almost 30 seconds off old PB - amazing what rowing on a new rower will do to your times! At gym at the Mount again. -
MOnday Lunchtime: 5000m 17:36.5 another new PB - this time by about 7 seconds. (1:45.6 / 500m).

Heart rate for the 6 second thing was 19 beats - 190 a minute at the end... I must get that heartrate monitor.

The new rowing 'season' has started, so have to set new times for the ratings boards online. -
Lunchtime row:Â 5500Â Â 20:20.1

Trainspotting facts of the rowing career of Mr B Man.

I have now rowed since getting the machine in Feb 2002 : 5,617,275m sitting on the rower for 365 hours, 53 minutes and 41 seconds. Rowing at an average pace of 1:57.2 / 500m

For the 2007 season : 78,253m in 4 hours, 51 minutes, 7 seconds. Average 1:51.6 / 500m

Evening Row:Â 7500Â Â 28:05.8 -
thing I don't get is what drives you on? In order to push myself that hard in any cardio activity I need to be doing it for a reason, training for a triathlon etc, where I can see the progress towards the goal, I can't do it just to 'be fitter'. Weights and a bit of cardio I can do but that's because I like to look good!
-
You get hooked, and always want to better your times - with me that has happened anyway. Get down times when you can't be arsed, but not too many. the online rankings also help. You see you are 4 seconds off beating another 5 blokes, so you go hard out to beat them, and so on, and so on...

lunchtime row:Â 6500Â Â 24;34.3

Evening Row 6000 21:39.0
Weights session - upper body. -
Weekend in Taupo with Mrs BartMan playing squash, and thought that woud be it, no exercise for me, but right beside the squash club, the Taupo Events centre and their 'fitness suite'.
So for $12, had a row on Saturday and Sunday, and even used their treadmills, to WALK a 20 minute warm down.

Sooo, Saturday 6000m 21:07.5 a new PB for that distance by about 30 seconds or so I think. Also beat my 5000m time on the way past to the 6000m by a couple of seconds, so was pretty stoked. Then walked on the above mentioned treadmill and cramped a beauty in both calves.

Sunday, did some interval training stuff - would row hard out for 30 seconds, and then just row for 90 seconds. Did a half hour row, and covered 8242 - which is 40 odd metres off my PB for the distance. Treadmill again to finish, no cramps this time!

Weight got under 100kg for the first time this weekend too - jumped on scales before row - 101kg, after row, 99kg. Second day was 98kg after the row, and 101 gain pre row!!

Also saw hori Bop of all poeple there, and he weighed in at a sevete 170kg... -
Mate, first time under the undie since 14 years old - you legend!!!!!

Farkkkkk Willie gonna have to go hard this month............. -
lunchtime row. That 30 second sprint / 90 sec cruise thing again for 30 munutes. 8269 - season best, and 19 metres off PB. Should have started a sprint a minute out, but think I would have died.

Willie - expect my real weight is that 101-102 still!! but a couple of kilos worth of weight loss in sweat during a 20 minute and a 30 minute row. Goes to show, drink shed loads of water boys and girls!! -
I don't know how good it is, but since January 2004, I have now lost about 18-20kgs. Although, the last 10kgs has been thanks to eating right too. Or righter, rather! That has also coincicded with me rowing upwards of 50,000 a week too, instead of 30 a week.

Is a good aerobic, or anerobic exercise, depending how hard you row.

DOn't think you gain too much muscle - lots of strength I expect though!!
