Good summary there. When Hollinshead left for France, he was only going to be away until the end of the NH season but I don't know if that has changed. It's really hard to find any information online ....
Hollinshead has signed with Coca-Cola Red Sparks in Japan.

This recent photo was from the high performance squad members having a day out in Rotorua. Firstly who is the guy in the middle ? Mike Delany ? I think the other two are Liam Steel and Hugh Blake (who it seems will be back for another season.)

@Snollygoster Does look a lot like Mike Delany. He's just turned 35, wonder if he is going to play a season or 2 as a squad player?

The Mafia Facebook page has the answer (via the Union) He's back!

I will reserve any enthusiasm till I see how he plays. At 35 he won't be the same player he was when he played here last but (as has been mentioned many times) his experience will count. You have to wonder who else may be dragged back...Bourke is still only 33 and Latts is a baby at 31 !!
The team seems to be taking shape with only a handful of spots uncertain.

I'm working on an assumption (having not tracked his offshore career) that his goalkicking is still top drawer and will be a big step up on the last 2 - 3 seasons - even if the legs around the field are a bit older. Shame that Hollinshead isn't still around for the experience & mentoring.

@Donsteppa Yes, very good point Donsteppa. Apparently Bay of Plenty had the lowest goalkicking statistics in the entire competition last year and with our average losing margin of only six or seven points there is a huge need for improvement. With the use of reserves these days we wouldn't expect a full 80 minutes from him anyway and his help with any up and coming five eight will be useful. I'm assuming Kaleb Trask will take over the mantle of our "up and coming five eight". As has been mentioned many times, we need someone to become our "General" to guide the backline around the field so hopefully Delany will help there.
