stay at the top 1 I think it is called - holiday park - we've stayed there for the last 3 years now.

think $15 for the day show, and too much for the night show! Night show finished at about midnight so you don't want to go to that - the day show is where all the judging is done at any rate - night is when you whack out your posing routines, which have no judging on them - except for the pairs, whcih does, and you also do your routines for in the morning too...

Clear as mud? Overalls get judged at night - that is all the winners of the atlhetic categories butting heads (novice, masters open, short and tall in all those categories etc)...

clearer, I still get confused after 3 years... -
Jaysus felt terrible yesterday afternoon / evening. Someone threw up a huge wall and I galloped straight into it! Better today though, but jeez energy was goooooone!

Today though, good as gold - whacked through a good cardio session at the gym this morning, and will head back tonight after closing to work on routines / posing etc. The THE ALL BLACKS game.

Weight this morning 80.0. Feeling like a bodybuilder again after the fluid retention for a few days. Visit to trainer tomorrow - hopefully we'll get our carb load tomorrow evening as per the BOP and Wellington comps!!

Also got given a protein cookie recipe. Not the worlds most difficult, I think I can handle it. Two scoop protein powder, 1 teaspoon peanut butter, 75ml water, mix and microwave. Sounds good to me!!

SO a week today at this stage I expect one of me or Ness will already have been on stage, the other probably pumping up as I type. 172 hours to action!! -
on our way to trainer right now (love the T stick thingy, Ness driving), leg workout this morning, TOUGH. the 100 squat, 100 hamstring curl, 100 seated calf press killer. Got to 53 squats (60kg) before the pause this time (2 more than last time), and then one more stop, finished with 101 (one for Dazza).

Weight this morning 79.5. knackered!, where's the wheel chair! -
ugh, I did a mean leg workout yesterday but not quite in this league!! mind over matter mate - looking forward to hearing how you and Ness go at the next comp!
-
it is all in the mind - and I AM going to get to a 100 in a row on the squats. No chance in hell on the hamstring curls. weight on those is I think 24kg, get to about 30 something before they start struggling, and then you fire them off in bursts of 10 -15 with pauses in between!

She's all mind games now - and wondering what other competitors are going to turn up like too - you've got to get that out of your mind, as there is nothing you can do to control that at all. Any more self focused and you'd vanish. Or at least you should be that self focused! -
sooo, weight yesterday morning was 80.4 after the carb up sunday night with a little bit of water sucked into themuscles. BF% by the scales below 3. I don't think so though, that changes by about a percentage on the various days - usually just below 4.
Anyway, weight this morning 79 flat. 500g down on when we started to dehydrate before Wellignton a fortnight ago, Ness also down. This is good as Nationals is a night weight in (Friday) and you're always heavier in the evening than in the day.
So all going to plan, we'll be carbing up earlier, and looking better come Saturday, and you have to be - this is the pinaccle for the year, you don't want to get it wrong now - that's what the Bay and Welly comps were for - to see what works for us.

Tired at the moment though - we missed our weights session this morning (was going to be our last anyway), just too cold and we too tired to get our arses ouit of bed. Not often when BOTH of us are dragging our arses, but when it happens, we know it's time to listen. And four days out, no harm no foul! -
You must be running on empty to skip a workout! can't recall you ever reporting ditching a session. Then again you are so close to the comp and finely honed so it won't matter. Does the comp run till sunday? if not you should try (if you haven't already) to get tickets to AB's v Canada!! A great treat after dominating all and sundry!!
-
finishes Saturday night, and yes, running on empty at the moment, big time - but it's what we do! Sunday, aim to be home in Whangamata mid afternoon and settle in on the couch for RWC and league and won't be moving but to get more chips and dip!

last day before we travel up to AKL tomorrow - stopping in Thames to warrant the car, weigh in at 6, then into the carbing up overnight and then we see if the seasons work has been enough for me to snatch the MR NZ title back, and for Ness to win her first title in the over 35s Figure. Certainly both in with a shoult - of course though I have to get past the Open Athletics before being in with a chance at the overall Athletic title!

go the clock! and on the cooking front - Ness now cooked about a million cakes and slices, and I did my first Weet-bix ginger slice ever - SMELLS good!! Taste test about midnight Satruday! -
well boys, it's going to be all action early at the paladium!! In the International Class, along with the other thrree top guns, so we'll pretty much know by afternoon if we're playing for gold, or the minor placings. Feeling good though, as good as can be, so it won't be a case of, Ã shuldn't have eaten that" it'll be a case of not being good enough on the day via posing or just plain being not good enough!

Ness has come in her leanest too, looking wicked - four in her class too, the chick who beat her at WElly plus a couple of others who are pretty sharp, but Ness usually sharper. So Ness v Birdsnest chick!

Food - four gluten free pancakes, a cup of icecream and maple syrup for breakfast, yummy!! Woke overnight starving too death so 4 rice wafers, last nights dinner 300gm salmon, 200g kumara and some asparagus / beans, then rice wafers x 2 and a banana for desert along with an HPLC bar and a coffee.

Weight at weigh in Friday nigtt was 78.7kg, shorts and tee shirt on. Ness also flew in well below the radar. -
Kick ass guys!! looking forward to hearing how it goes
