Auckland v Tasman

Maybe I am underestimating Canterbury, but I am expecting Auckland to win. This is not a good Canterbury team (especially the backs) and aren't they at the 'three games in a week' stage of the season?
I agree. They've lost a lot of players (particularly losing, Mo'unga, Bird, and to a degree also L Whitelock and Thompson has weakened the team immensely) and I'm not convinced yet that they have the right coach.

Canterbury on a four day turnaround - I'd have Auckland as favourites, even though the game is in ChCh.

@broughie I'm just agreeing with Crazy Horse and Stargazer.
Canterbury don't look as formidable this year and that short turnaround is really tough.
We had our best performance on the last of the quick turnarounds, so I'm not sure it's that huge a factor. Whatever the schedule, it's going to be an upset if Canterbury lose at home.

Fark, there'll be some Export Gold drunk if we get over Canterbury at home.
Can't see it though. I'm on a race to the underdog bottom

That's as bad as the years Meninga would try and play Qld as underdogs. Despite the game being in Brisbane. And that Qld team being completely stacked. And on a years long streak.
-
@mariner4life Except the Canterbury team isn't stacked this year.
Ta$man beat Canterbury comfortably and lost quite heavily to Auckland.

Saving the good stuff for a special occasion?
I didn't say by me!

Haha Auckland are never favourites against Canterbury especially down there. I'd back even the weakest of Canterbury teams to beat us in Chch. Oh well I suppose I''ll go along and watch and hope that this could be the one time we win haha.
