@Catogrande does it involve standing in the kitchen and using my hands and brain...
If so I'm out.
Husband cooked dinner but it was boring. I want take out. Duck chowmein and prawn crackers that I can fork a bit of duck and noods into and chomp like an edible scoop. Ah makes me smile even thinking about it. We rarely order take outs, I just really want the stodge and inside cuddle.You know what I miss about England a lot? Duck pancakes being readily available everywhere. I love that little mix of Peking duck, Spring onion, Hoisin sauce and a bit of fresh chilli
I love it when you talk dirty...

@Crucial great decision mate. Labs are such good companions and very trainable. We got a pup a little while ago (will post a pic if I can find a decent one amongst all the dog spam that my kids send me). Enjoy it as a pup, they grow so quickly.
After over 25 years away from labs I am so enjoying just how trainable they are in comparison to other breeds.
This fella has been in his litter pack on a farm up until yesterday. His only manners training has come from his pack.
Already he follows me at heel, comes to call to sit beside me and lies at my feet when I’m at my desk.
If only women were as easy to train.
Being all black he had to have an All Black name ( our last two dogs were named after Howlett and Rokocoko). Has ended up as Steve (after Beaver not Shag).At the very real risk of one-upping you, my son's name is Kieran.

Best one I saw with a dog was a black poodle cross that had a little white patch on one side of the chest right where the fern is. His name was Beauden. !

@nzzp his middle name is Ried.
I do enjoy when it’s reading time though. I get to yell out
“Kieran, Read”
you mean,
Kieran Ried Read!
edit:fix spelling

Escaped to the office today, leaving Mrs Mariner to the schooling and the children
Sick of being at home. Work is getting worse because i am becoming less and less engaged. It's just so hard to be productive.
I've sort of cut back the piss, but i can see it ramping up. Didn't have a drink monday or tuesday, but only took half an excuse to have 6 yesterday.
I can go to a restaurant this weekend i think, but what's the point when time is limited, and you can't go for a drink before or after?
I really fucking miss watching footy. I really took that for granted.
I'm totally fucking over this. 100%

Not long now, footy will be back.
The boys were out with the neighbours for 2 hours this morning playing cricket on the driveway. They loved it!

Got tested for COVID today...and got the flu jab at the same time.
COVID swab was a breeze compared to the jab as my arm is still sore while all that marching powder in the 80s seems to have cleared my sinuses permanently so I hardly felt the swab at all. -

@taniwharugby
Living in a higher risk location - Residential lodge with about 60 odd residents - mostly long term residents (some have been here for 20 odd years and minimum stay is 3 months) and about 50% of whom are over 50.Basically if it gets in here, we're fucked. So I'm not quite as blasé about returning to Level 2 as many - nor do I think we'll return to pre-Covid normal or should do.
-
@SynicBast fair enough!
Hope it returns negative!
Yeah 'normal' even once we drop from L2 will look different to what we did before covid-19

gawd, I'm seriously considering working for MSD/WINZ again, last time I did, I ended up moving to Aus.
200,000+ expected additional beneficiaries plus training programmes etc, seems like a bit of extra work coming up...

I'm used to being yelled at a lot, I worked for an Australian super fund during the GFC when half their investment options were frozen and they got pennies in the dollar back, as well as working for 5 years in early release claims. If I didn't get at least one customer threatening self-harm It was a good day.

I'd rather be on the other side of the desk to be honest than having to be one of those 200000 odd
