It's tough in the beginning but you soon get used to it. For me it's great because you don't have to spend much time in the gym. Combined with some cardio this workout is perfect.

  • One cannot underestimate how good it is for you to just walk more. Don't take the elevator.

I had to take the subway around yesterday. The station I had to get off at is old and particularly far underground - six full flights of steps up to the terminal and the outside world. You could take the elevator, but I chose to walk. It was tiring, but that was probably about 30 calories right there. Things like that build up.

  • Why did I find that weblink to just be one big long, american style take-more-pills website?

Because it is just one big long, american style take-more-pills website.

  • Don't forget the flax seed oil and meal replacement powders

Fester's point about walking is good - I had to go get some stuff from the nearest shopping centre at my lunch break. The easy option was to walk out to the road 300m and then get the bus for the 3km round trip. Instead I power walked over there and back and have that nice twitchy thing in my legs as a result. Also grabbed a protein bar and 500mL while I was out just to keep the metabolism kicking along.

:edit: The workout section of that article was actually quite good for those doing weights.

  • It's very weakly disguised advertising NtA

  • Well duh! Put together anything instructive on the web and chances are there are ads involved Everyone is selling something, and everyone has their price.

That's not the point I'm trying to make here.  There's fuck all information on there that is relevant and pretty much so only plugging of products.  Because of this, any information on here loses any credence of being fact.

I'm just awaiting MvJ or whatever his name is these days to moderate!

  • So you think the meal and workout routine information is completely worthless? :nta

  • No idea about the workout.  The meal, yes.  It suggests meal replacement and then offers to sell them to you.

I don't trust it.  But what would I know.

  • Fair enough - I'm not big into meal replacement either. But the links have to be clicked on for it to sell you something at least

  • Um, there's a tonne of information on that website. Suppliments are just part of it.

Try actually reading the articles instead of looking at the pictures.

Who gives a shit about the bloody ads. Read the workout and the meal. This was a post about them. I don't recall saying "and also take a glance at the wonderful products this site has to offer. My preference is Weightgain 2000NR>BKDI with 700grams of protein in every scoop."

If ads offend you here is the workout ad free:

  • Jesus Christ.  I have an opinion that information on websites selling stuff can't be trusted and all of sudden it offends me and I'm just looking at the pictures?  Â

If you don't trust websites that sell stuff then there can't be too many websites you trust. Once again I'd like to know where I refer to any of the products on the site. My post was: Excellent training routine for workaholic fluffy bunnies.

This is a routine I've been following for over a month and I highly recommend it. I don't get much time to spend in the gym so it's perfect for me and I'm sure there are others here that also have time constraints.

But if you still feel the need to ignore this because (shock of horrors) the site is selling stuff then that's your perogative.

  • Also, if you look at the food they recommend there's quite a bit of "real" food too. But the name of the site should give you a clue, bodybuilding.com, you can't body build without suppliments - unless you have a stomach that can handle five whole chickens a day.

If you are not body building you can skip the ads and look at the meal suggestions and the workouts. There's also plenty of tips about the whole fat loss side of things.

The information on the metabolism is interesting just on it's own.
