Update time: Given that for the first 3 games the winners were picked by 9%, 11% and 7%, high scoring was never on the cards. @Corkscrew had 4/5 winners selected by going the home team 1-8 but had no categories so only 35 points. @ACT-Crusader had the best score of 40 followed by @Hurrycanes (38) & @Canes4life (37) who only picked 2 matches but had 3/4 categories. All of ACT Crusader, @KiwiMurph @Chris @mikedogz @dogmeat @george33 picked 3/5. The very worst score was @NTA with 6 and @mikey07 managed 8.
ACT Crusader now leads by 12 from @hydro11 with KiwiMurph in 3rd. In the TSF Cup, @BorderJB sneaked his replay with @Winger but was knocked out in the next round. 16 people are into the next round.
In the battle of the unbeaten teams, South Island made it 4/4 against Blues A and in the battle of the unwinning teams, Canes Black thrashed Blues B.
The notable missing tipster is @dK who has been playing since we started back in 2006 - does anyone have a direct contact route?

Big scores this week especially if you picked the Canes over the Highlanders - 42% did that. 5/5 for @hydro11 @gt12 Langakali, @Winger @Paj @Hurrycanes @Dolamite @Kruse @Waynes-World @dogmeat @frugby Victor &@BorderJB - well done to them. Kruse hit 3/4 categories for a season high 69 ahead of GT12 and frugby with 66. @Kirwan & @dK were missing making Blues B almost certain wooden spoon winners.
Reigning champ Hydro11 has hit the overall lead, the king of the margin picks with 13/25 games this season picked with the correct margin - 3 ahead of Unite who is the next best. The lead is 6 over @ACT-Crusader with GT12 surging up to 3rd.
The BOP Chiefs squeaked past South Island for their first defeat of the season and these 2 along with Blues A sit at 4 wins out of 5 at the top of the table. The Sunjags scored a season high 57 to move into playoff contention with Canes Black sharing a 55-55 thriller.
All the TSF Cup games were decided with no ties so the quarter-final pairings are

Not an easy week for scoring with only the Chiefs and Force winning picked by the majority and there was a key shift of points when the Force pipped the Chiefs for top scorers. https://thesilverfern.com/tipping/
Picking 4/5 were @Hurrycanes @frugby @BartMan @Joan-and-Mary and picking the Force as top scorers pushed Bart to the highest score of 43, just 1 ahead of frughy and Hurrycanes and also @george33 who had 2 category picks. A solid 36 for @ACT-Crusader has bounced him back to the top by 11 points as @hydro11 crashed to only 19 and is now level in 2nd with @gt12 - Hurrycanes @Winger and @Chris are level in 4th, 5 points further back. @rico1 managed just 2 points and @antipodean didn't turn up.
In the TSF Cup, wins and semi-final spots for Langakali, @Kruse @Canes4life and a draw between @paj and Triple T means they replay - first one to get ahead next weekend takes it.
Finally in the teams comp, wins for South Island, BOP Chiefs & Blues A see them pulling clear of the pack with the SunJags in 4th after they disposed of the Barbarians with ease - all their scoring players scored higher than all of the Barbarians players.
Next weekend there is only 4 games so it will be a maximum of 15 points for each game, 12 for correct and close, 8 for correct but far away. I've left game 5 on the form so the spreadsheet of picks doesn't get affected but you don't have to make a choice for that game.

Only 4 games to pick this weekend so no excuse not to do it. 3 hours to go https://thesilverfern.com/tipping-submit/

The results are in https://thesilverfern.com/tipping/
Only one person picked Moana to beat the Crusaders and that was @Kirwan - the only 4/4 tipper and top scorer with 57. @delicatessen did well on categories and a Canes 17+ pick to score 52 and only 6 more players managed 40 or more. One of those was @hydro11 who closed the gap at the top to 3 points but @ACT-Crusader still leads almost half-way through the season. Langakali is up to 3rd, knocking @gt12 down to 4th.
Worst of the weekend was @SouthernMann managing just 1/4 and 14 points. Missing tippers were @dK yet again and @george33
In the TSF Cup, Triple T beat @Paj in a replay by picking the margin the Brumbies game but then lost in the semi to @Canes4life who will play Langakali in the final (who beat @Kruse in the other semi).
Half-way through the round robin of the teams comp, the BOP Chiefs took the lead thrashing Blues A in a top of the table clash while South Island lost to the Barbarians. Still all teams except Blues B have a chance of making the semi-finals.

This weekends games aren’t easy to pick
Chiefs v Reds - top of the table clash. Reds getting a big win away will help convince the comp they are for real.
Moana v Tahs - Moana riding high after a big win and the Tahs currently sitting 5th but their points diff is bottom 3 and could come back to bite when it comes to deciding positions
Drua v Saders - reeling from a bad loss but Saders have not played well in Fiji.
Blues v Canes - their first outing 4 weeks ago was quite the finish. Canes will be looking for revenge and to try and catapult their push to the top 6. Blues need a win for confidence more than anything.
Force v Landers - who knows. Would love to believe in the Landers, but man they have some lapses during games that have allowed the opposition to punish them. Force have defeated Brumbies, Moana and Drua but have been competitive enough to pick up some bonus points. Hardest game to pick.
