lack of energy and just running on empty all the time. It also takes longer to do shit, your brain is not working right, would hate to be crunching numbers for a living right about now that's for sure!!

The willpower is no problem, or rather, little problem - we're that close to the goal that to fuck up now would be like training for a marathon, running the first 25 and a half miles, then deciding to stop.

Fortunately though, family business so whanau help lots, and Ness does not schedule mad days at her beauty therapy!
OK,think I have managed to add a couple of files.

Me and Deano (who weighed in at 80.3 for his Waikato comp a few weeks ago), from St Patricks Day 2007 (my wedding day), and the other from October 2008, at the top of the Wentworth valley in Whangamata. Must be a guy thing to pop out a double bicep pose when the camera points...
and coming out of the water in the Isands somwhere while on a cruise - 2007ish too...
Outstanding Bart. loving your work. Personally my favourite double gun pose was a few years ago right under the Hollywood sign in.....well um Hollywood. Considering I had just come through Hawaii and weighed an all time high 108 kg ( thanks to Burgers, Piss, Pizza, chips, Piss, Tacos and some more piss ) they didn't look their best but the thought was there. I'll try and find it.

That middle photo reminds me a bit of an old tune from yesteryear :-)......
ok, using your:

height 178.5
waist 75.5
neck 36.5
the formula gives
=495/(1.0324-0.19077*(1.591065)+0.15456*(2.251638))-450
= 9.66% fat

Not bad at all for accuracy, maybe slightly high.

I got 18.5%, way too fat really at the moment-would prefer around 12%, for which I will need a waist of 78cm-which is impossible now even if I suck in totally. Anyway, it's summer and too hot to really push myself.

Good luck, only a few days to go!

    81.8kg, 7.9%BF.

Saw trainer today, and the way she is smiling, as I was going through the compulsory poses said it all. Scales also spoke loud and clear, BANG ON TARGET. Ready to dehydrate and compete. Even better news, Ness spot on too, we're both ready to roll. Which is great mentally, as we are both smashed physically. Energy low, eyes feel like they've been taken out and rolled in sand and put back in, zero appetite, everything as it should be!

The appetite thing is funny - the less carbs you eat, the less food you want to eat, and at the moment with fish and chicken on the menu, along with a ton of veg, but zero seasonings etc, eating is purely for fuel, and zero enjoyment. So you can miss a meal before you know it, and not know it - but need to eat to keep the body going.

We are certainly in the 'mind fuck' part of proceedings.

Tahnkfully we are not far away from travel, and once on the road the mind will be taken off trivial things like food and Saturday the 28th will be here before we know it. We fly out Thursday middayish, so just have to survive until Wednesday - then on the big bird with our trainer and one other BB for the islands!

goooo the calendar, and bring it on!
Thanks Crucial, you are right, nutters, but by fuck, nothing tastes sweeter than a snickers bar after weigh in on competition day!

    Sunday weight 80.9kg and 7.1%BF

Monday weight 81.5 and 7.2%BF.

Sunday saw us have a mini carb up day = mini as in lots of rice wafers and fuck all else, so extra weight there is fluid retention, felt good though to get some carbs into the system. We're back carb low for the next few days, and then carb free for about three before comp day.

WE packed our goody bags though on Saturday...

nom nom nom!! I'm not starving myself and those munchies still look good!!

Are the double up items to avoid bloodshed between you and Ness when the feeding frenzy begins!!? I would back her to take you out - a hungry woman is one of the most dangerous things on earth (even if she says she is Fine!)

yes, the double up things (energy chocolate, Snickers etc) are for our competition bags - our on the day sugar energy fix. then you have the things like the biscuits etc that whatever has been grabbing our fancy as we troll the supermarket isles!!

FIVE SLEEPS TO GO!!! not that we are counting every second...

could not drag ourselves to the gym last night - no way could we face a gym session. So we walked down the beach and saw the most beautiful moon rise over the islands at Whanga beach that you could hope for - water like a mirror, so not all bad. Gym'd this morning as I am sure tonight we will not be up to weights again. morning there is a little energy in the tank.

dehydration started today...

weight this morning(Tuesday) 81.1kg, 8.1%BF

just got text from Ness "god I feel like crap". I think it's going to be a long couple of days before we hit Raro...

started on my posing routine last night too - there is zero judging done on routine, so I now look at it as a pain in the farking arse, but got to be done. Vangellis 'conquest of paradise'. so very slow and controlled rocking through poses at a nice sedate old man pace!

we take the paint shop with us - spray unit etc. Ness picks up a bit of work too doing other competitors, so we pay for the trip and it becomes bussiness too!

so paint thrusday friday with spray tans, and then the war mud goes on Friday night Saturday morning.

just got plucked (waxed), and feel fucking terrible, great 'sport' this!!

as those crazy Spanish soccer commentators call out in excitement, "GOOOOOOAAAAAAALLLLLLL"...

weight this morning, Wednesday 25th 80.5kg, BF% 8.1.

Routine sorted now just need to run through it a few more times to get it cemented in place in the old brain box.

just in a holding pattern now really as we prepare to fly out to Raro and just can't wait to compete and see if we have done enough to bring home a few titles.

As per usual, Ness has got some tought competition - the women's over 35 figure comps are uber competitive - these older girls have some wicked physiques.

My trainer thinks I should go well against the NZ boys that are going over, and if I come in right should beat them - it's the 'Johnny Foreigners' that we know nothing about will be the fun ones to beat - or lose to, as the case may be.

Pairs, again, who knows who will turn up. For pairs your routine IS judged, but we've got ours down pretty pat, with a couple of lifts for good measure - it's pretty sharp - if we nail it! You get bonus points for lifts apparently!

Anyway, this could be the last posting until we get back from Raro - I'll txt Hooroo results as they come to hand and see if the big guy wants to post them up for me!!

Also check out, perhaps, the www.gofigure.co.nz website - they might have results up pretty quickly.

that is all for now, the journey is almost over - or just begun, Wellywood on September 11th next stop...
