That's my point about JRK, great quick kick and run, then just kicks it away. Has the flash skills but no smarts
Jesus mate give him a chance to get more than 1.5 games under his belt. He's also playing for a team in absolute struggle city, so he has to go overboard.
I had no idea where he is at game wise. Just everyone bigging him up and I just don't see it
Bigging him up? You mean talking about him being one of the bright lights for the highlanders and saying he's better than the little blonde guy?
The little blonde bloke looked a bit of a talent too

From an AB perspective pleasing to see Finau play so well week in week out
The thought of Finau and Sititi in the same backrow to take on the French and the Springbok is very exciting.
Bladder at 7?

I’ve got way more questions about Dermody, Brown and Joseph then I do about these players.
You question Jamie Joseph? Bold
More so the assistants - but here’s the thing. Name me a coach who has done well in a second stint… my fear was, and still is, that he might just be a coach from an older era.
The big positive he brings is better selection, and better recruitment, but I still maintain I’ve seen worse Highlanders teams play better. I’m not using this year as the litmus test, but I think it is entirely possible JJ isn’t the messiah we want him to be.

The same Jamie Joseph that won that one title in 2015, left, did “x” with Japan that made him one of the best coaches in the world and would fix all the highlanders problems?

The finger is piinting at the wrong level.
Roger Clark is rlthe man who oversaw good squads, them disappearing, bad squads, and having to rebuild five years behind other franchises.

Yeah, surprised the new ownership haven’t swept him out.

Although, that Lasaqa turnover is a perfect illustration. There's something rotten in their heads with the amount of half chances that are meekly turned over immediately. Drop it, pass it to the opposition, ruck turnover.... Almost every fucking time.
-
That was nothing short of a statement from the chiefs
-
The Chiefs have handed out a few hidings this year. But will they get stage fright again at the pointy end of the season?

They need a few veteran players that can show them how to win. None of the players in the squad have ever won anything. They’ve constantly falling short and it can’t be good mentally. They need some serious guidance

Wait, you don’t think he did anything with Japan? Your negativity gets in the way of your level headed thinking sometimes. Dont let it get to you bud.

The same Japanese team that had Eddie Jones before hand and had won pretty every pacific competition leading up to his appointment and had beaten South Africa in a rugby World Cup? Certainly ground up job by Joseph there. Be realistic.
-
@Landers92 on saying that some of those early unforced errors by your boys in the 2nd half just sent the Chiefs a written invitation to walk in through the front door.
-
Putting this into perspective. We lost four games by this margin last year.
This is only the second loss we have had without a bonus point.

Easier said than done. No point signing journeyman just because they have been in a winning team… how many winners did the Highlanders have in the 2015 team? The Canes in the 2016 team? The Blues last year?

Oh that's just fucking great. We've got 3 more hidings to come? Jesus wept

Must be tough to ‘support’ a team you feel so negative about.

Crusaders 2x, Canes Away and Chiefs at home… play like that and it could be 5!
