Its ridiculous how stacked the Crusaders are at hooker haha.

As you guys have said, there will be no choice but for some guys to move around.

And they already had two others in Mullan and McAlister move on this year. Could have seven out of our 15 hookers next year having come through the Crusaders system.

Eventually, someone will have to go - because out of Bell, Moananu, Oudenryn and Letui - four into three won't go.

But, if I were the player agent for any of them, I'm not sure I'd be thinking there's any great need to make that decision right now.

Codie Taylor will definitely be moving on after 2027 and in the meantime he'll likely be being nursed through a bit - so Bell and Moananu can expect plenty of game time and a chance to establish themselves as the top-dog-in-waiting.

The two young guys are both just 19 years old, so much water to go under the bridge before they're in the mix for national honours - and it's rarely been a bad thing to be with the Crusaders. But, if they're impatient then there could be jumps to the Blues or Highlanders.

    Agree it's worth watching.

I assume they're going to start Reihana at 10 and JOC to continue the bench role he's been playing. Hopefully they give James White some gametime.

Yeah usually I can understand when players stay at stronger sides and wait for their opportunities, but man, that is some pecking order.

As @SouthernMann said, maybe Oudenryn becomes a target for Aussie rugby?

When he's got the opportunity to be the Mako's best ever hooker?

    Surely not!!! 🙂

Assuming there is no ACL damage that can be anything from 2 to 8 weeks recovery time with strength and conditioning potentially on top of that so he's clearly a doubt for the French series.

Will was going to have to be rested for a couple of games anyway wasn't he - AB protocols?

Back before the end of the Super season doesn't sound too awful - except without him, the Crusaders' season might come to an end a bit earlier than hoped.

Hopefully Will does come back ok, otherwise I fear we will be seeing the DMac/BB combination again for the ABs.

Out of curiosity how come Sevu Reece tries have dried up?

Based on early season form it looked likely he would take the SR try record soon but since that Force match he's not scored again.

He was very industrious to start the season coming off his wing (I think one of his tries v Force was picking the ball off the base of a ruck in middle of park)..... Has Penny changed the way he is being utilized?

@nonpartizan he's given up on scoring tries to concentrate on the biggest whooping shitbag award.

The tracks aren’t as dry, not as much space for wingers and I feel the Crusaders aren’t as good as Read thinks they are. They got the Canes twice when they had a weakened squad, same with the Blues and the Force and Reds also sent weaker teams over. Reece scored plenty of tries earlier in the season when he had worse players defending him.

Tough decision whether I want to lose my left eye or my right eye.
