I am surprised by Hansen Daly Cummings Pollock and Kelleher. Rest is all as expected. I was expecting to see Lake, Graham, Willis, Doris and Fehi Wiboso, but I guess the last 3 were ruled out.
So tough luck for Graham and Lake, but far more predictable than we might expect for a Lions squad!

We have better players than Australia

It’s all about the selections and tactics

If Farrell tries to get us to play like Ireland then we’ll lose the series

    That puzzle has been solved

What about the Scottish, Irish, Welsh, English, Tongans, Samoans, Australians and South Africans ?

I'm excited for this series. GO THE WALLABIES. I definitely think the Aussies can pull together a side that can win this.

I think the biggest issue for Australia is their 10. I assume Lolesio has the front running but Lynagh is also playing very well for the Reds.

Anyone know when that squad is announced?

    JOC?

JOC would be a good guy to have on the bench, he can cover multiple positions, he's shown form to compete at this level again and he has experience that will be beneficial late in the game.

You should, you're selecting from four countries.

Will be interesting how quickly the Lions can gel. The Wallabies will definitely be targeting that first test.

If that positional breakdown is accurate, then isn't that a lot of outside backs?

@Canes4life I'm not sure what the go on him is these days, but Donaldson has been their best 10 in SR.

@Tim yeah I'm mildly surprised there's only 3 10's. An injury midweek could leave them sweating a bit.

Daly is the utility who can play in most backline positions.

Those Beckenham juniors obviously learned a lot from watching their elders.

India is an infinitely larger country than New Zealand with a shitload more cricketers but that didn’t prevent the BCs winning 3-0

Yeah agreed, Donaldson has been good for the Force. One thing that might count against him is not having the opportunity to play finals.

There's space in the squad for two more, it was intimated that one was for Owen, but he's just back from injury. So they'll see how he goes, and maybe it'll be him or ford or someone else

Anyone know when the Wallabies are naming their squad? And if so, how many players will be selected.

Based on what I’ve seen this year and an assumption that 34 players will be selected I have picked my Wallabies squad below.

Props: Angus Bell, Allan Alaalatoa, James Slipper, Taniela Tupou, Tom Robertson, Isaac Kailea

Hookers: Billy Pollard, Matt Faessler, Brandon Paenga-Amosa

Locks: Jeremy Williams, Nick Frost, Lukhan Salakaia-Loto, Darcy Swain

Loose forwards: Harry Wilson, Fraser McReight, Carlo Tizzano, Rob Valetini, Rob Leota, Tom Hooper

Halfbacks: Jake Gordon, Tate McDermott, Nic White

First fives: Noah Lolesio, Ben Donaldson, James O’Connor (Lynagh just misses out for me because of O’Connor’s experience and versatility as a bench option).

Centres: Hunter Paisami, Len Ikitau, Joseph Aukuso-Suaalii, Filipo Daugunu

Outside backs: Tom Wright, Andrew Kellaway, Harry Potter, Max Jorgensen, Corey Toole

I'm guessing they'll name the squad after SR final as normal, but have extended training camp from possibles once knocked out

Not a bad group of players. Aussie rugby is starting to look good again..
