Yes we've had a plethora of absolutely shite comedies that are somehow popular. The Great British Viewing Public's endorsement is not a viable argument.

It is weird - Brits do the absolute best, and the absolute worst, of comedy.
As to Gavin & Stacey - I've never seen it, but always had the impression that if anything - it s a rare one that sits in the middle - almost an american comedy.
As to Corden - yes, most of the evidence against the guy is "gossip" - but there's a LOT of it, including journalists following up and getting corroborating evidence. From the guy's friends, for fuck's sake. The guy is a dick, and I'll cut any apologists. Fuck him. And that AMA is great - a shining example that perhaps humanity isn't completely worthless after all. -
