Jordan Lay played club rugby for University yesterday, so hopefully we will have a decent reserve loosehead prop soon.

PJ Check also played for Grammar TEC.

Tupaea did surprisingly well in the scrums considering his light frame.

He's getting there. I think a full off season will see him fill out more.

He should be a regular in the Waikato 23 this year so more NPC experience. There are a few Aust props of similar body shape playing SR like Sef Fa'agase and Isaac Kailea.

Apparently Tupaea is very strong in the gym. So the raw power is probably there but not the scrum technique.

He hasn't played that much rugby yet. Ideally he would be learning at NPC level not SR level

Quinn is also apparently a strong bloke. That said, props usually do better with a decent amount of ballast!

The Blues social media confirming what the Fern has known for awhile.

‘The Blues can confirm Ricky Riccitelli will depart the club and New Zealand at the end of this season.

Lettuce! It’s been a pleasure having you at our club for the past 4 seasons. An integral part of our championship success, we are grateful for everything you’ve given to the jersey.

Hopefully a few more to get.’

A great servant to NZ rugby. A shame he never got a crack at higher honours. Well respected hooker who deserves more credit. Will be a loss to NZ rugby but time for some new blood to come through.

Great club player for both the Canes and Blues. He scored a championship with both sides so that's something to be proud of. All the best Lettuce, you'll definitely be missed in my Fantasy side next year.

I think we'll see a massive turnover of players for next season, including a lot of stalwarts.

We've had a successful first half of the decade no matter what the anti Blues brigade say, but I think we could be heading into a rebuild year next season to prepare the next generation.

This season has been disappointing, but next year I expect a season like this.

@African-Monkey Most are already on Contract, except a couple, and the Riccitelli and Reiko, who we no are leaving.

Hopefully I'll still be alive for the next title in 2045.

And it'll be worth the wait If we are.

Well deserved. He's stepped up from being a bench player into now a very reliable starting player. Works hard (on both sides of the ball.....)

No idea if he's close to AB honours or not yet, but I feel that he can really push for it in the next year or 2.

He’s not AB level yet IMO.
