I liked the move not to take 3

Keep the ball down that end

The problem with 3 is you end up with the ball back down your own end

Roigard's running and kicking game is excellent but his passing needs some work.

Especially when our exits aren't consistently good

Wouldn't look amiss in the other black jersey. How many times does he come up with a big play when we desperately need it? Worth a serious burn off the bench

Been inspirational all year to be fair. Why he isn't the out and out captain for this side amazes me.

Brial looks very promising. Wish he had stayed in NZ.

Impact from an AB bench loosie would be a pleasant change

Aussie, but spent many years in Queenstown and played for the NZ u20s. He's Michael Brial's son.

I suspected as much. Looks tall, a good lineout option

Wasn’t he a Cantab? He’s the same size as Gallagher and he plays six. Could be the one that got away.

Well done Canes. Composed finish. Procter and Kirifi were amazing. Roigard very good too. Not too impressed with Aumua or Lakai though. Is Aumua fit? Lakai seemed a bit lightweight in contact.
McReight, McDermott and Canham really impressed me for Reds.

Could he have been the 5/6 hybrid that Razor is looking for?

I thought Lakai was good tonight but not his usual bustling self, got smashed by Wilson coming around the corner but that happens to the best of players. I feel like Lakai doesn’t get the wraps he deserves, he’s been tireless for the Canes all year and I think he’s played every game for us. Pretty impressive for a 22 year old.

Aumua, not sure, he just isn’t playing that well and is hindering us a lot with his line out throwing. Needs to be better in the knock out games.

I want to do a shoutout to Callum Harkin. Man that guy reads the game well from 15. How many times has he cleaned up for us at crucial times over the last three weeks? Not an explosive 15 by any stretch but he’s almost becoming as much of the glue to this backline as Proctor.

Speaking of Doctor Proctor, I’m not sure what the Canes win % is with him on the park over the last two years but it must be in the 90s. He’s definitely Mr fix it and showed why he is an AB tonight.

Got up at 3am to watch. Really good game to watch. Great intensity
Procter and Kirifi good as usual.
Scrums starting to look better but lineouts pretty bad.
    Hopefully Love is ok.
