@mariner4life I misread your post, assumed you meant personality wise, rather than on the course.

Foxy tied for lead at -14 at the Canadian Open, I think the top 3 get entry to the US Open next week.

Heard him say winning his first the other week has made him relax. Paraphrasing, but he's not afraid of hitting a bad shot any more, because the pressure has gone.

Let's go Foxy! Would be awesome to see him pull off another good finish and a ticket to the US Open.

Over in Europe flying the Kiwi flag is Daniel Hillier who is tied for 28th place at the KLM Open in the Netherlands. Hillier is in the Top 10 in the Race to Dubai Rankings and if he can hold onto a Top 10 place in the rankings at the end of the season he will earn himself a PGA Tour Card for 2026.

Fox in s great position after a slow start. Short putt on 17 to equal leader.

18 is a par 5 so real chance to win …. As long as he sinks this putt!

Missed it by a fucking mile.

A @majorrage putt if ever I’ve seen one. Needs to birdie the 18th go force a play off.

Outside a serious meltdown, his us open entrance is set.

    Rad.

He’s looking really good. Trimmed some belly fat and his driving is superb.

His putt on the 18th looked missing the whole way but just caught the edge of the cup and dropped.

And of course …. He messes his drive.

    Straight to a fairway bunker.

Not a big deal tho as both will prob lay up

How good!! Way to go Foxy! Huge win for him.
Becomes the 2nd kiwi to win the Men's Canadian Open after Sir Bob Charles in 1968.
He earns himself almost $NZ 3 Million, 500 Fedex Cup points, a spot in next week's US Open, starts at the 2026 Masters, Players Championship, and PGA Championship as well as a PGA Tour exemption through till the end of 2027.

He just said the shot he hit into the green the last time was probably the best he's hit in his life.

Certainly a good one to hit at that moment!

@taniwharugby I thought exactly the same.

But, the three wood was so good it forced an error from Burns.
