the Missus had heard about this, so I got it, not my usual cuppa, but is enjoyable!! Funniest line from the grumpy gran - Whats a weekend? <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />
Maggie Smith (grumpy gran) has quite a few quotable lines. Very enjoyable series

They're into the third season I think now in the US - but one of the best shows (IMHO) on air at the moment is Cougar Town - with Courtney Cox. Don't watch many comedies on TV anymore, just movies - this is probably the only one.

Well worth a watch, if you haven't checked it out yet.

Have to say have enjoyed watching the re-runs of Modern Family on 3.
Great to see Al Bundy back on the box again, his characters wife (Sophia Viagra) isnt to hard on the eyes either...

Cougar Town is great - once you get over the title! Modern Family is good too. Although both aren't as good (in my opinion) as Community.

I have been watching a show called the League as well, about a fantasy football (US) league, it has off beat humour kind of like It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

There actually is some really good TV out there at the moment.

It actually airs after Sunny in the US on Fx Channel. The first season was butt funny. The second season went over the top for me, but still very funny. Just a lot less believable than the first.

Funny seeing them all drive in their new flash cars (have read they now earn $80K per episode)...The Situation earned some $3m last year alone.

Just train wreck tv at its best.

Their 15 minutes are almost up. After that, a year of a little coke, some hookers, and they will be out of the Mercs and BMWs and back into Honda Civics in no time. None of them look like they are fiscally responsible. Cash is probably going out as fast as it comes in. I read somewhere that Pauly D has 350 pairs of Nikes, which cost $50,000. Like I said, fiscally responsible.

Yup for sure, some other show full of losers will be the next big thing. And these guys will fade into nothingness.
Like you said theres very little chance they are doing anything sensible with their earnings, like putting a chunk of it away.

I have had both seasons of Sports Night on my laptop for a few months, waiting for a chance to watch them. Too many other things in line before them, maybe this summer.

You're in for a treat. Peter Krause and Felicity Hoffman are great.

Does anyone here still watch survivor?I lost interest after the first series, it's obviously still holding its own rating wise for some reason as is [shudder] Wipeout.

Yup, Sophia Vegera (nicknamed Viagra for obvious reasons), just has for me anyway, a really annoying accent.

have started on Terriers, although enjoying it, doesnt quite sound like the way it has been described here, seems very light hearted drama/comedy?

I assume you're only a couple of episodes in TR. I found the first couple of eps didn't fit with the tone of the rest of the series. It does have light hearted comedic parts but that doesn't define the series as a whole.

I like Britt, he was equally as good in True Blood S1 as well, in a different role obviously.
