    About to take off for Dublin.

    A thought on ALB. He so far seems to gel better with Fekitoa that Crotty -- no idea why.

    If he shows he can also bolster Barrett's game management, a la Crotty, it would be hard not to see him supplant the older pro by the end of next year.

    Super rugby will be interesting. If Ngatai can get back, then assume he plays 12 with ALB at 13. Seems a pretty good prospect.

    @pakman I was just thinking it had been a few weeks since someone had posted and ridiculously overhyped Ngatai. good work.

    @MN5 Your response seems a tad Freudian. All I indicated was that I hoped he'd be good for Chiefs. Is that too much to wish for?

    @pakman it's not the first time you've mentioned ALB combines better Fekitoa. I'm just wondering what body of evidence suggests that? In TRC Crotty and ALB were the best combo we used.

    @ACT-Crusader I meant ALB Fekitoa better than Crotty Fekitoa. But agree Crotty ALB best combo this year.

    @pakman

    In a vain effort to find something to be outraged about I did miss the 'Super' part of your post. My apologies.

    @booboo said in ALB:

    ALB's quietest macth to date.

    Which is quite the compliment. The sample size is almost at the point where we can safely say he has that long-term AB quality where they don't have "howlers" just quiet games.

    I thought he was great at the end with a couple of nice off loads/passes. In a game where not everything was sticking, it was when he was involved.

    Can not remember him making any significant mistakes. If the Irish had 67 percent of the ball that means he was defending most of the time. He really has not put a foot wrong and is quietly surprising.
