Got up like a zombie on Valium this morning and forgot to do legs. Might give it a miss this week and just pound pavement tomorrow.

Otherwise it was a good shoulder session finished off with rowing machine.

Really tired again but hopefully will bounce back next week.

Saturday: Legs, abs, armtickle and rowing machine. Not bad.

Sunday: Park with kids then did a Forrest Gump and felt like running. So I ran for a bit. Pity it was ruined by a dodgy chicken katsu for lunch. That was shit.

Back and triceps this morning. Was pretty shit. Got going late, spent too much time talking with mate and then had to leave.

Decided to make up for when youngest had gymnastics at the same gym I lift tin at. While he was doing handstands and somersaults I smashed the back and tris properly this time and then did the rowing maching/pushup killer. Farked me right up that did.

    Much happier after that.

Thought I'd updated this for Friday and Saturday. Must have gotten lost somewhere in cyberspace....

Ah well, Friday last week was ok. Limited time but shoulders well smashed.
Saturday was legs and arm tickle.
All of these are now being followed by the 500m + 20 pushup x 4 rowing machine finale. Am really liking that.

Sunday was an open day at the local golf course so just walked a bit, but otherwise didn't do anything. Ate well though.

Monday, didn't have time to piss let alone train. Well I did in the evening but was fried beyond belief. Just lay on the couch and didn't even have the energy to pay out the godawful Greys Anatomy shit that wife was watching.

Today: Chest and biceps. 2 super sets with chest and biceps then chest superset, more biceps, then rowing blitz. I also like ending bicep day with 21s.

Need more sleep but otherwise feeling pretty healthy at the moment.

Know that feel on the sleep thing at the moment. At best I usually get 11pm til 515am week days but been even less for last couple weeks. You sure do notice it.

Same, although an hour or so later in bed (work to Northern European hours) and up an hour later. It sucks because I'm the kind of person who would prefer to go to bed early and get up early.

Problem is that when I get a decent sleep I usually feel shattered the next day, like my body goes into hibernation mode.

    Today: Back and triceps.

Back/tri super sets (2), then deadlifts and dips.

Finished off with a nice row.

I'm now panting and sweating when I leave each day. That is the way I want it!

    Legs today.

Bit of a rush, but got all wobbly which much be a good thing.

Son has gymnastics this evening so will hit the treadmill and rowing machine then.

Just on gymnastics, JK I recall you mentioning your better half having been involved in that as a girl. Does she have any long term effects of that? Where my son goes there are 80% girls and they seem almost unnaturally strong for their age. Just wondering if that could be too much for a very young body to handle.

    14 days damn!

Last week was an absolute shocker. Worked like a bitch. Only managed 2 gym sessions and eating was pretty crap. Just felt really bad.

This week has been much better. Proper sessions on Monday and Tuesday and then a double today. Eating has been top notch as well. Shows that is doesn't take too long to turn things around if the eating is right and training focussed.

    Bit buggered now.

Saturday: Legs, arm tickle, treadmill, rowing machine, steps. Rooted.

Sunday: Beach. Always fairly strenuous due to having to keep kids alive in the surf. Was looking after 4 of them this time. Beautiful at Cabarita Beach but water NZ cold. Bloody freezing.

Monday: Shit nights sleep so no training and the usual issues. Was a really bad day.

Today: Good chest and biceps session. Might even run a bit tonight.

Back and tris then rowing machine + pushups. Struggled big time with the last one but survived.

Thursday: Bit silly. Hammered legs in the morning and then went some serious cardio in the late afternoon while son had gymnastics. Normally I'd take shoulders in the morning, but the Monday day off put me behind the eight ball. That silly day meant I was pretty wrecked on Friday and had to take it easy.

Saturday: Kids had swimming at stupid o'clock so ran while they were in pool, then dropped them home and headed to the gym. Smashed shoulders and tickled arms.

Was bloody hungry in the evening and ate a whole pizza and two hungry jacks meals. Reckon I deserved that.

Thought I'd updated this, but it seems the post vanished. Should probably check the US election thread😖

Monday: Had to do a quick session before picking the boys up from school, but it was a good un. Chest and biceps.

Tuesday: Back and tris. Yeah not bad.

Wednesday: Didn't want to but hammered legs in the late evening. Finished off with 2km rowing machine with the 20 pushups at every 500m. Felt much better afterwards. Good session. Should do this every time the wife watches Gilmore Girls.

Today: Shoulders. Not bad at all. Will probably do a bit of cardio while youngest does his gymnastics thing this afternoon.

Predicting 40 degrees tomorrow so I don't think I'll be doing much outdoor running on the weekend.

    40 degrees!! Oath!

What sort of stuff are you doing for legs and back? usual stuff or mixing it up. I can't even remember if you are training off the grid/gym or mixing up between gym and home workouts. I'll try to pay more attention 😀

    @Paekakboyz

Yeah I was trying to find one that best resembled Donald Trump. I reckon that's a pretty good likeness.

Your "ignorance" is my fault for being piss weak at updating my training status. That had a bit to do with some embarrassingly crap weeks.

At the moment I'm spending more time in the gym than outside. Which is really the way I've always preferred it. I was enjoying the skipping and running, but it's just murder on the legs and knees and I have to think a bit long-term (getting old 👴🏻 ) . Obviously with the stinking hot humid Brisbane summer coming I'll be spending a fair bit of time in the pool which is always great exercise. I'm also a bit addicted to the rowing machine now and finish most workouts with it.

Anyway, back and legs is pretty standard stuff, nothing unusual. I use a squat machine, which is a pretty shameful confession in the presence of guys who live to squat and have the shoes to prove it! But I'll grow some balls one day.

Friday: Found myself at a bit of loose end since I'd already hammered each body part that week, so went for a serious arm tickle and ab work. Must have done the job because the abs were sore most of the weekend.

That was easily the best week of training I've had in a while. Adding the rowing machine gives that extra element of exhaustion that I weirdly get off on.

Rested on Saturday and then played golf on Sunday. Started early but was sweating like a mofo most of the time. Still, more fun than a run. That evening was carols and fireworks at the local oval so I spent about 3 hours walking around making sure my kids didn't kill themselves. Was farking buggered after that.

    Monday: Too tired, needed break.

Tuesday: Chest and arms. One of the biceps felt a bit weird so didn't go full pelt today, but it was still pretty good. Nice to get back into it.

Wednesday: Back and tris. Deadlifts back on the agenda. Good shit.

    Thursday: Legs. Well smashed.

Friday: Shoulders. Not bad. Bicep still a little sore so resisted arm tickle.

Saturday: Some serious cross fit. Buggered.

    Been a while.

Had a good weekend and Monday/Tuesday training. Then went down the coast on Wednesday. The gym at the hotel is pretty shit, but they have some weights and a rowing machine. Basically I've done weights then rowing machine plus pushups, then run up the stairs to room (12 floors). That farks me up enough.

Didn't do anything today but keeping 2 kids alive in the surf is pretty intense. Has been a good break and I'm pissed off I have to leave tomorrow. If (fingers and toes crossed) everything goes ok with the better half we'll move here when the boys finish school. It's an absolute paradise.

Okay week. Had some pretty ordinary eating days in a row (e.g. a packet of chicken tenders with BBQ sauce for dinner😞 ), but it's stabilised before I go ape shit tomorrow. We celebrate Christmas twice, Norwegian on the 24th, normal countries on the 25th. I'm feeling hungry just thinking about it, but must be strong.

Training also ok. The usual plus ending with rowing machine and pushups and one day of Xfit. I'm actually finding that much easier than when I used to do it a couple of years ago. Not sure what has made it easier. Maybe the rowing machine thing?

Anyway, I'll smash legs and tickle arms tomorrow morning. Calm before the eating storm!
