think that was a fair call by the ref, not enough in it to warrant anything else

Offside from the scrum is one of those crooked feeds like things that is so rarely actually penalised.

What a period of play by Ofa - made three tackles - just jumping up to get back involved - then gets the turnover

Clear high shot. Was that a neck roll too?

Good to see the big man PT dot down after being out with injury for weeks.

Tuipulotu in after some more weak tackling. He looked for support 10m out but then noticed the tackle was so weak he could just stride over

That penalty was always going to happen with this ref.

I fucking hate mauls. Totally go against the offside and obstruction laws and the fundamental aspect of defenders tackling the ball carrier.

I can't disagree, mauls shouldn't be allowed immediately following line outs. that could be a rule. There's almost no legal way to defend unless the attackers f&%k up.

I've only just got to work and tuned in but managed to catch the first half highlights. That maul try showed why Akira needs to learn a bit yet before fronting up for the ABs. Watch his legs while trying to defend the maul. He never gets set strongly and is only using his upper body to put weight in. You have huge thighs man, use them.

Why is Kirwan commentating? He's bloody painful to listen to.

I have the feeling it's a distinctly South African thing to scream "holding! Holding!" at every ruck where one of your players contests possession. NZ players tend to wave their arms instead.

Paddy T looks to be making a good attempt at putting his hand up for the selectors.
